Dear brothers and sisters, this week, every day, let us remember the commandments of God: believe in Jesus and love one another. If we do not love one another, we do not have Jesus in us and we are not in Jesus. It's as simple as that. To be sure of the resident presence of the Lord, let us ask ourselves: "Is there someone I do not love?" Conchita, Tell Us about Your Life Conchita tells us about her Providential Encounter with Fr Félix de Jesus: On the third (Feb. 1903), I learned that there was at the church of the College de Filles (the name given the French parish) a priest, the Superior of the Marists, an affable person. This occurred around 4 p.m., and I became quite anxious to speak to him about the Cross... On the fourth, an interior force impelled me to go to this church. I went there. I pushed the button to let them know I was there. A priest, a stranger to me, whom I was barely able to see, came down. I went into the confessional and made my confession. I felt an extraordinary impulse to open my soul up to him, to speak to him about the Cross, the delights of suffering, the marvels of sorrow. I saw and I felt the echo of my feelings in his soul. I became aware that my words penetrated the depth of his soul. I think that at that moment they were not my words. I perceived that I was speaking inflamed, fluently, in a way that was beyond myself. This came from the Holy Spirit. I spoke to him about the Works of the Cross and I felt that he was greatly enthused over them. I saw deep down into his soul and could fathom what was in his mind. I also understood that this soul would render great Glory to God through his works. I sensed that he was blessed by the Cross, touched to the utmost depths of his soul. I sensed, too, that he was deeply impressed, piously affected in the vitals of his heart. I spoke to him about the cloister for religious sisters. Right away he asked me whether there were any in Mexico and whether there were any for men. 'No, there are none for men, but there will be,' I replied. I then returned home, very impressed by this surprising encounter, an encounter which seemed to be for the glory of God. None the less, I asked the Lord, for a long time that, if it was not according to His will, Father would not be able to find me, nor even my address. By making inquiries, I do not know how, Father came. Without knowing each other we exchanged greetings. At once we began to speak of God and of the Works of the Cross. I continued seeing the impressions the Holy Spirit made in his soul and his desires for perfection. I suggested to him, if he wished, to offer himself up wholly to the Lord. He accepted, desirous of this perfection. I decided to write him this act of oblation for the next day. I invited him to be at the Convent the following day, at ten in the morning, then we said goodbye.

Esto lo supe a las cuatro de la tarde y no sé qué ansia me entró de hablarle de la Cruz... Al día siguiente, cuatro, una fuerza interior me impulsaba a esa iglesia; fui y llamé con botón eléctrico y al bajar un sacerdote desconocido que apenas vi, me acerqué al confesionario y me confesé. Sentí un impulso extraordinario para abrirle mi alma, para hablarle de la Cruz, de los encantos del padecer, de los primores del dolor. Yo veía, yo sentía el repercutir de mis sentimientos en su alma, veía cómo penetraban hasta el fondo mis palabras, que creo que entonces no eran mías, porque yo me oía hablar con un fuego, con una facilidad, con algo muy grande que no era mío, era de la Palomita divina. Le hablé de las Obras de la Cruz y lo sentí enamorarse de ellas. Yo vi el fondo de su alma y sus actuales impresiones; desde luego sentí que aquella alma daría mucha gloria a Dios en sus Obras, lo sentí, en fin, herido por la Cruz, herido en lo más hondo de su alma. Lo sentía yo impresionadísimo, santamente tocado en lo más vivo del corazón. Le hablé del Oasis y me preguntó luego si en México se encontraba y que si había para hombres. No hay para hombres, le contesté, pero lo habrá. Llegué a casa muy impresionada por aquel encuentro tan raro y que yo veía claro ser para la gloria de Dios; sin embargo, mucho le pedí al Señor que si no era su voluntad no me encontrara ni diera con la casa el Padre; pero preguntando y no sé cómo llegó y nos saludamos sin conocernos; pero en seguida nos pusimos a hablar de Dios y de las Obras. Seguí viendo las impresiones del Espíritu Santo en su alma y sus anhelos de perfección; le propuse que si quería hacer al Señor una entrega total y accediendo, ansioso de su perfección, quedé de escribírsela para el día siguiente. Lo invité a presentarlo en el Oasis al día siguiente a las diez de la mañana y así nos despedimos.

editando la Palabra de Dios

Queridos hermanos y hermanas, hoy celebramos la última fiesta litúrgica de este año. En el corazón de las tres lecturas que acabamos de escuchar estaba la familia con especial énfasis en los niños. ¿Por qué las tres lecturas estaban relacionadas con la familia? Es porque tienen la intención de la celebración de hoy, la fiesta de la Sagrada Familia. En la primera lectura de hoy del primer libro de Samuel, se hace eco del deseo de la mayoría de las familias, especialmente el de las mujeres, de tener un hijo. Como escuchaste, Ana, la esposa de Elcaná, no tuvo hijos. Ella oró fervientemente al Señor, pidiéndole su bendición, prometiéndole a cambio presentar ante el Señor a su hijo. Dios Padre aceptó el término de Ana y la bendijo con un hijo. Ana llamó a su hijo "Samuel", que literalmente significa "Nombre de Dios".

En la segunda lectura de hoy también se habla de los niños. En este caso, se hizo referencia a nosotros, como los hijos de Dios. Nos recordaron el gran amor que el Padre nos ha dado. "Porque tanto amó Dios al mundo que dio a su único Hijo, para que todos los que creen en él no perezcan sino que tengan vida eterna". En el sentido más verdadero y absoluto, no puede haber un amor más grande que este amor único de Dios. Es este don gratuito, no merecido por nosotros los pecadores, lo que ha hecho posible que "seamos llamados hijos de Dios". El mundo no conoce a quienes viven su fe en Cristo. Estos cristianos fieles pueden considerarse "extraños" porque no participan activamente en todos los grupos sociales. Mientras están en este mundo, no son de este mundo. No encuentras a estos cristianos en el bar. No son adictos a las drogas. No buscan la fama ni las riquezas. Cuando alguien está necesitado, tranquilamente, están allí para ayudar a los pobres, a los enfermos, a los ancianos, a los huérfanos, a las viudas, a los prisioneros, a todos aquellos que deben llevar una cruz especial. Eso es lo que los hace hijos e hijas de Dios. Nuestra fidelidad a Dios se confirma obedeciendo sus mandamientos y haciendo lo que le agrada a Dios. El Evangelio de hoy fue la narración del evento relacionado con el Niño Jesús en el Templo. Como lo prescribía la Ley judía, se requería que la gente peregrinara a Jerusalén para tres fiestas principales:

la Pascua, Pentecostés y Tabernáculos. Estas observancias se pueden rastrear hasta el Libro del Éxodo, donde Dios dice: "Tres veces al año, celebrarás un festival para Mí". y el Libro de Deuteronomio donde Dios dice: "Tres veces al año, todos tus varones se presentarán ante el Señor tu Dios en el lugar que Él elija. Podemos entender el porqué de Jesús en el templo a los doce años de edad, estaba cumpliendo con la ley de ir al templo, donde El manifiesta tanto su crecimiento físico como intelectual ante los sacerdotes.

En conclusión, como hemos escuchado, Jesús creció en sabiduría. Como un niño humano, como todos los demás niños de su edad, Jesús creció física, intelectual, emocional y espiritualmente en preparación para el trabajo que le esperaba. .

Estimados hermanos y hermanas, esta semana, todos los días, recordemos los mandamientos de Dios, creer en Jesús y amarnos unos a otros. Si no nos amamos unos a otros, no tenemos a Jesús en nosotros y no estamos en Jesús. Es tan simple como eso. Para estar seguros de la presencia residente del Señor, preguntémonos: "¿Hay alguien a quien no ame?" The priest arrived some days later, quickly instructed the chief in the Catholic faith, baptized him and give him Holy Communion. Then the chief died.

T y p o l o g y The Greatest Gift of All Time Kianna Garmanian

My life has changed. Permanently changed. There is absolutely no going back. My soul has been claimed by Christ. Two years ago, my heart and mind were awakened to the beautiful treasure that remains hidden in the lives of many. This treasure is the source of our eternal nourishment and everlasting strength. My friends, this precious gift is none other than the Body and Blood of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Two years ago, when I was eighteen years old, Jesus led me to the most remarkable discovery of my entire life: Daily Mass. Now, please hear me when I say this… for most of my life, I thought Mass was boring, long, and simply unnecessary. Whenever a Sunday rolled along, the thought of going to Church instantly brought me into a bad mood. Mass always seemed to interrupt the “more important” activities in my daily life… or at least, this is what I thought. I remember thinking that people who attend Daily Mass must be super crazy or extremely bored. Don’t they have anything else better to do with their time? Shortly after I graduated high school, at eighteen years old, I very quickly became overwhelmed by the routines of my daily life. I was so immersed in my own activities that I failed to make time to pray and strengthen my relationship with Christ. As time went on, I became swamped in misery and unhappiness, as my soul was desperately searching for peace. So, one afternoon, I stopped by our Church to spend some time with Jesus in Adoration. I felt lost, afraid, and broken, so I went to Christ to seek guidance and answers. Very clearly, as if someone was speaking into my very ears, I heard these words as I was praying: “Kianna, I want you to come to Mass with me tomorrow morning.” Honestly, I was so confused when I first heard this… like what!? Going to Mass on a week day!? Absurd! But, this message was so clear and I was curious to discover why Jesus was calling me in this way. So, by the grace of God, I set my alarm clock and attended Daily Mass the following morning (which was a huge deal since it was during the summer and I could have slept in!) I lack the words to describe this experience in its fullness. All I can say is this: Something about the Mass completely captivated my heart, mind, and soul. There was a peace, a deep peace, that filled my being. I felt overtaken by a new sense of joy and life-giving strength. I had to keep coming back for more… for more grace… to discover more beauty. And that is exactly what I did. As I began going to Daily Mass that summer, I more fully understood that it was Kianna has been a parishioner at the Eucharist, Jesus’ own Body and Blood, that was drawing me in and fueling my SEAS together with her family since 2007. She is now a junior at St Martin’s being. The Eucharist is our most sacred, precious, and prized treasure. The Eucharist is University in Lacey. After her Jesus Himself, and He longs to offer this gift to each one of us. I wish I could find the Confirmation here in 2014, she was a words to explain how transformational Daily Mass has been for me over the past two wonderful addition to the Fire Team years. I cannot imagine my life without this gift or the eternal nourishment of the helping bring other youth to Christ. We Eucharist. My dearest brothers and sisters, our Lord is calling YOU!
