PASTOR’S Reflection
B
raking Open the Word of God:
Dear brothers and sisters, this Sunday's readings teach us three common denominators. We are all called to do all things in the Spirit of Christ. In other words, we are called to walk in the Christian spirit, we are called to do all things in the spirit and we are called to walk with the Spirit of Christ. What does it mean to walk in the Christian spirit? I am sure that all of you have heard the phrase "embrace the Christmas spirit". Embracing the Christmas spirit means agreeing with others who celebrate Christmas. It means being happy and making peace with others. It means celebrating the arrival of the child Jesus to the world. Walking in the Christian spirit also implies embracing certain characteristics. The first, and the most important, is the attribute of unity, all members are of one spiritual mind. Through unity, there is harmony. Through harmony, there is strength. Through strength, there is perseverance in the living faith. And in the end, those who unite in the Christian spirit, achieve their goal: eternal life and salvation through Jesus Christ.
worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, because the Father seeks people like these to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in him, in Spirit and Truth. " What does it mean to do all things in the spirit or to worship in spirit? It means that when we receive the Sacrament of Baptism, just as Jesus was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, within us, a new creation was resurrected from death to walk the new life that was received through Christ. Without the Sacrament of Baptism through water and the Spirit, we would not be able to enter the Kingdom of God. The third common factor found in the three readings today is that we are called to walk with the Spirit of Christ. When we walk with the Spirit of Christ, we shine in the fruits of the Spirit. These are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, fidelity, sweetness and self-control. Those who walk with the Spirit of Christ are guided by the Spirit. Considering everything that has been said so far, in the Christian spirit, we are called to do all things in the spirit with the Spirit of Christ. The three applications of the word "spirit" cannot be separated. It is by the power of the Spirit of Christ that we receive our new creation, that we are transforming ourselves into holy people impelled to imitate the love of Christ towards our brothers and sisters. Without the Spirit of Christ, we would be spiritually dead. Through the same Holy Spirit, we are attracted to Jesus. Through the Holy Spirit, we are sanctified to the likeness of Christ. Through the Holy Spirit, the works of God are manifested through our humble persons who are subject to Christ in obedience and humility.
In today's second reading, we discover the Christian spirit in action through some of the descriptive words that are given to us. "I did not see any temple in the city, because its temple is the Lord Almighty God and the Lamb. And the city does not need sun or moon to shine in it, because the glory of God is its light and its lamp is the lamb. "Here we can discover the unity of people under One God, the Lamb. There are no idols. alking together as brothers and sisters: Nor are there man-made religions whose leaders obtain credit Dear brothers and sisters, this week, let us for establishing beliefs that differ from the sacred teachings of Jesus. And, we also discovered the quality of holiness of the reflect on these three things. When we do, remember the people because they all belonged to the city of Jerusalem, words "He, I and we". "He" is the "Holy Spirit" through which is a holy city. whom all spiritual things become viable. "I" is my new In today's Gospel we perceive Christian unity in those who "human spirit" created by the Holy Spirit for the good of obeyed Jesus' command. Jesus' command was: "Those who the whole Church. "We", by the power of the Holy Spirit, love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, are bearing good fruit in our daily lives. What do we do and we will come to them and make our home with them." Those who love Jesus are of a spiritual mind with those who when we have a conflict in our family? Do we dialogue also obey the command of the Lord. When we meet in the from the peace of Jesus or from our selfish interests? presence of the Lord, it is a sign of our Christian spirit. United Fr. Jose Gerardo Alberto, MSpS in one faith in the Lord Jesus, we come together to worship our Lord, our God. We are united to receive the blessings that are granted to those who receive the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, which is the living Bread.

REFLEXION del
M

A WAITING HARVEST
Vocation Awareness
The Ordinary Vocation: Holy Marriage. Part I The Majority of men, statistically speaking, are called to the “ordinary” vocation of marriage. I call it “ordinary” not because it is inferior to other vocations, but because it is the most common vocation. In God’s plan for the propagation of our race and the building up of the Church, most men (and obviously most women as well) are called to marriage. However, despite the fact that marriage is the most common vocation. It must be discerned and not just assumed. I find fascinating that the two “vocation” sacraments, marriage and priesthood, are so unique among the seven sacraments for a variety of reasons. How is marriage unique?
These two souls are joined together in the sacrament by Jesus Christ in the marriage bond. Marriage is the only sacrament that does not come through the ministry of a priest. The bride and the groom give this sacrament to one another (through Christ) when they express their valid, matrimonial consent. The priest is present only as the official witness of the Church. Marriage is an enduring sacrament, but only until the death of one of the spouses. The death of either spouse brakes the marriage bond and ends the sacrament of marriage.
Marriage is the only sacrament that involves two souls, The soul of a man and the soul of a woman.
From the Book “To Save a Thousand Souls” Fr. Brett A. Brannen
O Jesus, Our Eternal Pastor, Deign to look with merciful eyes Upon this part of your loving flock. Lord, we need a large number of priests, and men and women consecrated to the religious life. Multiply vocations, And sanctify more and more our priests, And those consecrated in the religious life. We ask you all this through the Immaculate Virgin Mary of Guadalupe, your sweet and holy Mother. Jesus give us priests according to your heart. Jesus, savior of all people, save them, save them! In the Eucharist we find all the good of the Church. In it we have the certainty that God is faithful to His promise and stays with us until the end of time. In our visits and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, we experience the closeness of the good shepherd, the tenderness of His love, the presence of a faithful friend. We all experience this large support in our lives provided by faith and our personal and intimate dialogue with the Lord in the Eucharist. Come Adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament Monday through Friday from 10am to 9pm.
