~ REFLECTION ~ Today we find ourselves in the middle of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. How appropriate, then, is our second reading from Saint Paul’s first Letter to the Corinthians, in which he calls on the people of Corinth to put an end to their divisions so that their focus might be on proclaiming the gospel. Let us pray today for unity in our own Church as well as unity among all Christians
Speak up with concerns about a child’s environment. Parent and caregiver observations can help protect a child in danger, and you should know when it’s important to speak up. Although it may be awkward to approach a parent you do not know, if you have witnessed a scenario where the child is in danger of physical or mental abuse, it is your responsibility to act in that child’s best interest. In addition to reporting concerns, think about any practical solutions that can help keep kids safe pending an investigation and solution. Sabia Usted?
