~ REFLECTION ~ Today is about wisdom. Solomon and Jesus both agree that it is important to set our priorities to match what is most important to God. As we gather for worship today, let us pray for the wisdom to learn what it is that God wants for us and what God wants us to do, and for the grace to live our lives accordingly. ~ REFLEXION ~ Hoy todo se trata de la sabiduría. Tanto Salomón como Jesús coinciden en que es importante que pongamos nuestras prioridades conforme a lo que es más importante para Dios. PUT OTHERS BEFORE YOURSELF Be Compassionate: Jesus Christ is our example. He said to his followers that those who are truly His disciples will show love to one another. The example Christ gave was of Him loving other people regardless of their spiritual condition. Be Empathetic: Consider the needs of those around you. Try to put yourself in their situation and treat them as you would like to be treated. Develop a Servant’s Heart: Putting others before yourself is easier when you are serving them. But just because someone is in a serving position does not mean that they are serving with the right attitude. Make sure you develop a servant’s heart and attitude. Realize that People Think Differently: Try to learn to see things from other people's perspective. Don’t try to force everyone into your way of thinking. That is a sign that you are thinking more of yourself than you are of them. Volunteer: Find a Ministry, Charity, or Service Organization where you can spend time serving others. Find a project that will allow you to work directly with people, where you find out their true needs and help them.
PON A LOS DEMAS PRIMERO Se Compasivo: Jesucristo es nuestro ejemplo. El dijo a sus seguidores que todo aquel que en verdad sea Su discipulo se amaria el uno al otro. El ejemplo que Cristo nos dio fue el amar a otros sin importar su situacion religiosa. Se Empatico: Considera las nececidades de otros. Ponte en su situacion y tratalos como a ti te gustaria que te trataran estando en esa situacion. Crea un Corazon de Servicio: El poner a otros primero es facil cuando les estas sirviendo. Pero a veces solo por que alguien esta en una situacion de servicio no presisamente significa que lo estan haciendo con la actitud correcta. Asegurate de construer un Corazon y una actitud de servicio. Comprende que la Gente Piensa Diferente: Aprende a ver las cosas desde la perspectiva de los demas. No trates de forzar a todos a pensar como tu. Eso es un signo que tu estas pensando mas en ti que en los demas. Se Voluntario: Encuentra un Ministerio, Grupo de Caridad u Organizacion de Servicio donde pases el tiempo sirviendo a otros. Encuentra un projecto donde te permita el serviir a otros, en donde encontraras sus nececidades reales y les ayudes.
