~ REFLECTION ~

For the past few Sundays we have heard Jesus defining discipleship for us. Today our attention is drawn to the focus of our work as disciples, the kingdom of heaven. For the next two Sundays we will hear parables about what the kingdom of heaven is like, but it will not always be easy for us to grasp the meaning of these parables. Perhaps our prayer today can be for clarity and understanding, so that we will be able to discern what God wants for us.

En los pasados domingos hemos oído a Jesús definirnos el discipulado. Hoy nuestra atención se dirige hacia el punto focal de nuestro trabajo como discípulos: el Reino de los cielos. En los próximos dos domingos oiremos parábolas acerca de a qué se asemeja el Reino de los cielos, pero no siempre nos será fácil llegar a entender el significado de estas parábolas. Tal vez nuestra oración de hoy pudiera ser para pedir claridad y entendimiento a fin de poder discernir lo que Dios quiere de nosotros.

Behold, how good and pleasant it is, when brothers dwell in unity. As we enter this season of summer, let us also prayerfully and intentionally enter a season of planning time to deepen our unity with the Most Holy Trinity, our personal family and friends, the family of God, and those we desire to reach. Some prayerful questions and considerations will help us in the unity and oneness process: How may I deepen my unity and oneness with Him through prayer, Sacred Scripture and the sacraments? How may I deepen my unity and oneness with immediate and extended family through the giving of myself and my time? How may I deepen my unity and oneness with my parish family through communal worship and service? He aqui, que tan Bueno y plasentero es cuando como hermanos somos unidos. Al entrar en esta temporada de verano, también entremos intencionalmente y en oracion a una estación de planificación de tiempo para profundizar nuestra unidad con la Santísima Trinidad, nuestra familia personal, y amigos, la familia de Dios y aquellos que deseamos alcanzar.
