~ REFLECTION ~

We return today to Sundays in Ordinary Time. In a sense “Ordinary Time” is time that falls outside the major holy seasons of the year: Easter, Christmas, Advent, and Lent. But Ordinary Time is not just the absence of a major season any more than our lives are ordinary on days that are not holidays. Ordinary Time forms the foundation of the liturgical year; after all, it comprises almost two-thirds of the calendar. May we appreciate the heft of Ordinary Time as we settle into the longest season of the year.

ANNOUNCEMENTS First Communion pictures and Certificates are available for pick up in the Parish Office; Pictures—$7 for 5 X 7 and $10 for group pictures.

~ REFLEXION ~

Did You Know?

During the summer, children may spend time at a camp or program. It is important to monitor for potential risks when a child enters a new environment. Ask to see the organizations written policies for the adults who will be supervising your child, check if there are procedures in place for emergencies and make sure there is a system for open communication between parents and organizers/leadership. Taking time to check these and other safeguards is key to building safe and nurturing experiences for children.
