In our political and commercial world, it appears that humility is not a virtue. In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us otherwise. As we gather for worship today at our loving God’s invitation, it might be good to step back from advertisements and exhortations that encourage us to exalt ourselves, and instead pray for the humility of Christ in all our daily interactions.

Aparentemente en nuestro mundo político y comercial la humildad no es una virtud. En el Evangelio de hoy Jesús nos dice lo contrario. En nuestra celebración de acción de gracias, donde estamos hoy por invitación de nuestro amantísimo Dios, nos sería beneficioso alejarnos de los anuncios comerciales y las exhortaciones que nos animan a enaltecernos, y mejor pedir la humildad de Cristo en todas nuestras interacciones cotidianas.
