On this Respect Life Sunday, what better words could we hear than Saint Paul’s in today’s second reading? “Humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for his or her own interests, but also for those of others.” As we gather here today, let us pray to our loving God for the wisdom to make these words the hallmark of our lives, respecting all other lives by putting their interests first.

En este domingo del Respeto a la Vida, ¿qué mejores palabras podríamos escuchar que las que nos dirige san Pablo en la segunda lectura de hoy? “Por humildad, cada uno considere a los demás como superiores a sí mismos”. Oremos reunidos aquí hoy y pidámosle a nuestro Dios amantísimo la sabiduría para hacer de estas palabras el distintivo de nuestra vida, respetando la vida de todos los demás y poniendo sus intereses antes de los propios.

scope out potential dangers in the areas where a child may be for school, birthday parties, playdates, outings with friends, etc. Another danger to add to your list is the potential for a child to be lured away into a private area by a predator. Abuse can happen anywhere, even in the most public of places, and parents should be aware of any secluded spots that a predator might use. Avoid spaces where a predator could take action – turn on lights, check empty rooms, and patrol sleeping or playing spaces.
