Tamale Sale In continuous effort to support our Capital Campaign, the Hispanic Commission will have a Sale of Tamales on July 21. If you plan to order a dozen it must be purchased before the deadline on June 30th. You can do so online through a link in our Parish Facebook page. In addition, we will soon provide in next week's bulletins the schedule of the days and hours in which members of the Hispanic Commission will take orders in our new "Spiritan Center" building. We realize that our new procedure for ordering may be of inconvenience for some of you, we do apologize. However, it is important for us to prepare only the orders that were purchased. This year our order limit will be 270 dozens.

St. Francis– Little Italy Members of St. Francis-Little Italy will be selling raffle tickets the weekend of June 23 and 24 at all masses. Their 91st annual Italian Festival and Bazaar is scheduled for Sunday, October 14th. Tickets are $1, or 6 for $5.

Adoration Leads to Imitation

Do you wish you had love in your heart like Jesus did? For Christians, learning to imitate Jesus Christ starts with adoring Him. Adoration and knowledge of Jesus, feeling close to Him, will naturally lead to imitating Him in your day-to-day life. Bringing His love to others begins with adoring Him. “Step out of the boat” and commit to one hour a week with Jesus. Over 20% of our hours need an additional adorer. These hours are an incredible chance to have quiet time with Jesus, as well as help out a fellow parishioner! MEDITACIÓN EVANGELICO 17 de junio de 2018 11º Domingo del tiempo ordinario

Muchas veces los maestros de las escuelas y los catequistas de las parroquias llevan a cabo la dinámica de invitar a sus alumnos a plantar una semillita de frijol en un pequeño vaso lleno de tierra. Todos los días los niños cuidan y observan cuidadosamente la semilla hasta que brota la planta. Y al verla crecer se llenan de contento. En las lecturas de hoy encontramos algo similar a esta dinámica. Jesús nos asegura que la semilla crece por sí misma con impresionante vitalidad. "Escuchen esta comparación del Reino de Dios. Un hombre esparce la semilla en la tierra, y ya duerma o esté despierto, sea de noche, o de día, la semilla brota y crece, sin que él sepa cómo" (Mc. 4:26). En el Evangelio, Jesús dice palabras que ayudan al corazón de cada persona a crecer sembrando el bien en dondequiera que se encuentre. Las parábolas son una directa invitación a la esperanza, a no perder el ánimo de sembrar a pesar del desaliento que muchas veces afecta a los sembradores. Papás, mamás, maestros, catequistas y, en fin, todos los trabajadores que día a día luchan por una sociedad más justa. Jesús hoy nos reta a todos a dejar el desánimo y seguir evangelizando, dialogando y guiando a nuestros hijos, alumnos, amigos y familia. Aunque parezca que la semilla no da fruto, Dios se encarga de que germine en cada corazón. ¿Cómo sientes que germina la Palabra de Dios en tu vida? ¿Cómo respondes ante el desánimo de seguir esparciendo el bien? La Palabra de Dios nos alienta a ser fieles y tener plena confianza en él. ¡No lo defraudemos, sigamos luchando por la justicia!

Venta de Tamales En continuo esfuerzo de apoyar nuestra Campaña de Capital, la Comisión Hispana tendrá una Venta de Tamales el 21 de julio. Si desea comprar una docena, necesita hacerlo antes de la fecha límite el 30 de junio. Podrá hacerlo en la página web de Facebook en la Parroquia. Además, pronto proporcionaremos en los boletines de la próxima semana el horario de los días y horas en que miembros de la Comisión Hispana tomarán las órdenes en nuestro nuevo edificio “Spiritan Center”. Reconocemos que nuestro nuevo sistema para hacer su orden puede ser un inconveniente para algunos de ustedes, pedimos sus disculpamos. Sin embargo, es importante para nosotros preparar solo las ordenes que fueron compradas para no hacer de mas este año. Este año nuestro límite de pedidos será de 270 docenas.
