Dear Parishioners, This past week we celebrated the 1st Anniversary of the Route 91 Massacre. There was a beautiful celebration held at St. Viator’s, where we celebrated a Journey of Hope. We continue to pray for those affected by this tragedy and pray for healing in our town. If you need help in your healing, Fr. Tony and I are here for you. On Wednesday, October 3rd, we kicked off RCIA in Spanish. It is not too late to join. RCIA in English will be starting soon. RCIA in English and Spanish is for those who would like to be baptized Catholic or receive their sacraments. See the article in the bulletin for more information. On Saturday, October 13th, you are invited to join us at 12 noon to celebrate and pray the Rosary for Life and Peace in the world. We will be joining others across the nation to pray at 12 noon in the respective time zones. We will be starting at the Tomb of the Unborn. The month of October is annually observed by the Catholic Church in the United States as Respect Life Month. We are called to cherish, defend, and protect those who are most vulnerable, from the beginning of life to its end, and at every point in between. Yet this year, as we approach Respect Life Sunday on October 7, our hearts are heavy with revelations of how those who should be most trustworthy have not only failed in this regard but have inflicted immense evil. As USCCB President Cardinal Daniel DiNardo expressed, “the Body of Christ is lacerated.” At such a time as this, we become even more aware of the need for messengers of God’s love and instruments of His healing. We realize again, with renewed urgency, our personal call to help others encounter God’s transforming, lifegiving love and to defend the sanctity of every person’s life, at every stage and in every circumstance. This year’s Respect Life theme is “Every Life: Cherished, Chosen, Sent,” highlighting our call to build a culture of life as missionary disciples. I invite all to pray that we may show by our words and actions that every human life is cherished and chosen. I am organizing a pilgrimage to Medjugorje from May 19-30, 2019. It will be a wonderful trip as we celebrate my 14 th Anniversary of Ordination to the priesthood and Msgr. Ben’s 3 rd anniversary of his death. Please see bulletin for details. Finally, on Tuesday, October 9th at 7:30 pm, we will have the next planning meeting for the Our Lady of Guadalupe celebrations. Please make plans to attend. As you can see, a lot of things are going on. If Fr. Tony or I can help you in your faith journey towards Christ, please let us know. You are in our prayers.

Queridos Parroquianos, La semana pasada celebramos el 1er Aniversario de la masacre de la Ruta 91. Hubo una hermosa celebración en St. Viator, donde celebramos un Viaje de la Esperanza. Continuamos orando por los afectados por esta tragedia y oramos por la curación en nuestro pueblo. Si necesita ayuda en su curación, el p. Tony y yo estamos aquí para ti. El Miércoles 3 de Octubre, iniciamos RICA en Español. No es demasiado tarde para unirse. RICA en Inglés comenzará pronto. RICA en Inglés y Español es para aquellos que desean ser Bautizados Católicos o recibir sus Sacramentos. Vea el artículo en el boletín para más información. El Sábado 13 de Octubre, lo invitamos a unirse a nosotros a las 12 del mediodía para celebrar y rezar el Rosario por la Vida y la Paz en el mundo. Nos uniremos a otros en todo el país para orar a las 12 del mediodía en las respectivas horarios de las zonas. Estaremos comenzando en la tumba de los No Nacidos. El mes de Octubre es observado anualmente por la Iglesia Católica en los Estados Unidos como el Mes de Respeto a la Vida. Como expresó el cardenal Daniel DiNardo, presidente de la USCCB, "El Cuerpo de Cristo está lacerado". En un momento como este, nos hacemos aún más conscientes de la necesidad de mensajeros del amor de Dios y de los instrumentos de Su sanidad. Nos damos cuenta nuevamente, con renovada urgencia, de nuestro llamado personal para ayudar a otros a encontrar el amor transformador y vivificante de Dios y para defender la santidad de la vida de cada persona, en cada etapa y en cada circunstancia. El tema de Respeto a la Vida de este año es "Cada vida: querida, elegida, enviada", destacando nuestro llamado a construir una cultura de la vida como discípulos misioneros. Invito a todos a orar para que podamos demostrar con nuestras palabras y acciones que cada vida humana es apreciada y elegida. Estoy organizando una peregrinación a Medjugorje del 19 al 30 de Mayo de 2019. Será un viaje maravilloso cuando celebramos mi 14º Aniversario de Ordenación Sacerdotal y el Tercer Aniversario de la muerte de Monseñor Ben. Por favor, consulte el boletín para más detalles. Finalmente, el Martes 9 de Octubre a las 7:30 pm, tendremos la próxima reunión de planificación para las celebraciones de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Por favor haga planes para asistir. Adoration St. Joseph’s Adoration door is open, and Jesus is waiting for our conversation. If you find yourself in need of prayer that is the place to meet and greet Jesus, Jesus has a thousand ways to get the job done. The name of Jesus is big enough to help us. In prayer we believe that our God can still the storm and walk through the storm with us. In prayer we believe that we are designed for eternity and that Jesus is ultimate gift in life. In prayer we believe Jesus is always happy to move into our space. May we use the space offered to us in our St. Joseph’s Adoration Chapel.

ADORACION DEL SANTISIMO SACRAMENTO La puerta de la Adoración de San José está abierta, y Jesús está esperando nuestra conversación. Si se encuentra en la necesidad de orar este es el lugar para reunirse y saludar a Jesús, Jesús tiene mil maneras de hacer el trabajo. El nombre de Jesús es lo suficientemente grande para ayudarnos. En la oración creemos que nuestro Dios puede calmar la tormenta y caminar con nosotros a través de la tormenta. RCIA and Adult Faith Formation This fall, Holy Family will be starting a new combined process for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) and Adult Faith Formation. We will offer faith instruction for those who would like to seek full initiation into the Church through Baptism or Confirmation as well as those of us who would like to develop our own faith more fully. More information is available in the brochures in the back of the church. The actual RCIA and faith formation sessions will take place between the 8am and 12noon Masses each Sunday. Inquiry for non-Catholics will take place on alternating Monday. Next Inquiry will be on Monday, October 8th, at 6:30pm. Drop ins will be welcome. More information to follow. We need sponsors and catechists to volunteer to walk the journey with those seeking to become Catholic. If you believe the Holy Spirit is calling you to one of these ministries, or you would just like to discuss the possibility. Couples planning marriage should contact the parish as soon as they become engaged. It takes at least six months to fulfill marriage preparation requirements. At least one party must be a registered, participating member of the parish. In the event of the death of a loved one, please contact the Mortuary before you contact the parish.

Parish Registration

In order that we may better serve, please register in the parish. You must be registered in the parish for 6 months. This way you are known to us when requesting the services of the church. If you would like to register, please pick up a registration form in the back of the Church. The completed form can be placed in the collection basket. Also, please notify the parish office of any change of address, phone, or if you are moving out of the area.
