Dear Parishioners, I wanted to thank all of you who wished me a Happy Birthday. My Birthday was Saturday, July 27th and I turned 54. It was great celebrating with you. I am currently in Michigan visiting my family. Please pray for my brother Dave who’s 49 and needs a bone marrow transplant for his leukemia. Pray that they find a donor and that the transplant is a success. My brother Dale has multiple sclerosis and is not doing well, but he keeps going. So since they are both sick, I know my mom has a honey-do list of projects around the house. So it will be a working vacation. On Thursday, August 15th we celebrate a Holy Day of Obligation for the Assumption of Mary. Masses will be at 7:30 am and 5:30 pm in English and at 12 noon and 7:00 pm in Spanish. We pray for all of our teachers and students who return to class on Monday, August 12th. We pray that this year will be filled with blessings. Did you get your Nevada Values Life license plate? Quería agradecer a todos los que me desearon un feliz cumpleaños. Mi cumpleaños fue el Sábado 27 de Julio y cumplí 54 años. Fue genial celebrarlo contigo. We Want you! Ushers Needed! Are you tired of sitting in the pew each Sunday? Would you like to meet more people in the congregation? Well, we have an opportunity for you! Ushering! We need ushers at the Saturday 4pm Mass, the Sunday 12 Noon and Sunday 7pm! Ushering is an opportunity to serve God by serving his people. Ushers will greet and assist people as they arrive for Mass, take up the collection and help direct parishioners to Communion and distribute bulletins after Mass. The requirements are below and we ask that you pray on it and answer the call to help at the Mass you attend! Be registered in the parish office. Watch the Safe Environment Training Video online, it takes about 45 minutes and is good for 5 years! Must be fingerprinted and this also is good for 5 years!
