THE GOOD NEWS…..in Middle School!! Middle school students enjoyed two days of culture and science on their recent Denver field trip. First stop was the Art Museum where they experienced the extraordinary creativity of the Glory of Venice exhibit of Renaissance style art. Next, students learned about entrepreneurs and enterprise at Hammond’s candy factory. It was a sweet stop! The night was filled with song at the Ellie Caulkins Opera house where they attended Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West (Girl of the Golden West) opera which is based on Colorado history. The next day was off to a holy start as students attended mass at St. Louis Church with Father Reycraft who was generous enough to allow students and chaperones to spend the night in his school gym. The rest of the day was spent at iFly where students actively participated in physics experiments and then put on their jumpsuits and goggles before entering the wind tunnel where they experienced the exhilaration of indoor sky diving. It was a trip filled with gaining knowledge of art, music, business and science. A good time was had by all!!

1st Communion and Confirmation Parents and Godparents Just a SAVE THE DATE reminder for the upcoming required classes, as this is an opportunity for you to grow in your faith, and to walk with your children and Godchildren in this sacramental journey. These classes are required, but more importantly they are a time to learn and share about how these sacraments and the Mass are an integral part of our lives. So often we send our children to receive religious formation in Catholic School or Religious Education classes, but aren’t offered a forum to study and grow in our faith as adults. Hopefully these classes will do just that, and also bring us together in community. We invite those Confirmation Sponsors who can, to come as well. Parents please share the handouts you will receive with the Godparents, and talk about the lessons together and with your children and Godchildren. The upcoming class session’s that you can choose to attend either the Sunday or Wednesday meeting time will be: Session 2: Sunday, December 4th at 9:00am OR Wednesday, December 7th at 4:45pm Session 3: Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 9:00am OR Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 4:45pm Session 4: Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 9:00am OR Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 4:45pm Thanks again for participating in this special moment of grace and blessing for us all.
