THE GOOD NEWS…...In 2nd Grade!!! Second grade is currently studying maps and globes. They are learning about the seven continents, 5 oceans, the equator, and the poles. This will lead into an investigation of a continent and a research report.

1st Communion and Confirma on Parents and Godparents Dear School Parents & Godparents of children receiving 1st Communion and Confirma on,
Thank you for your Catholic faith and for sharing it through the Catholic Educa on your children receive at St. Stephen! As your children prepare to celebrate these Sacraments this Spring ’17 we are offering four forma on classes for you as well.
This is an opportunity for you to grow in your faith, and to walk with your children and Godchildren in this sacramental journey. These classes are required, but more importantly they are a me to learn and share about how these sacraments and the Mass are an integral part of our lives. So o en we send our children to receive religious forma on in Catholic School or Religious Educa on classes, but aren’t offered a forum to study and grow in our faith as adults. Hopefully these classes will do just that, and also bring us together in community. We invite those Confirma on Sponsors who can, to come as well. Parents please share the handouts you will receive with the Godparents, and talk about the lessons together and with your children and Godchildren.
Our next class session that you can choose to a end either the Sunday or Wednesday mee ng me, will begin on Sunday, December 4th – 9am or Wednesday, December 7th at 4:45pm – both in the church. We’ll be coming out with the 2 session dates for 2017 by the end of 2016. Thanks again for par cipa ng in this special moment of grace and blessing for us all.

Es mados padres de familia y padrinos de los niños recibiendo la Primera Comunión y Confirmación,
Gracias por su fe Católica y por compar rlo a través de la educación Católica a sus hijos. A medida que sus hijos se preparan para celebrar estos sacramentos en la primavera estamos ofreciendo cuatro clases de formación para ustedes también.
Esta es una oportunidad para que usted pueda crecer en su fe y caminar con sus hijos o ahijados en este viaje sacramental. Se requieren estas clases pero lo mas importante es que es el empo para aprender y compar r acerca de como estos sacramentos forman una parte esencial de nuestras vidas. Muy a menudo enviamos a nuestros hijos para recibir formación religiosa en la escuela pero no se les ofrece un foro para estudiar y crecer en nuestra fe como adultos. Esperemos que estas clases hagan precisamente esto y a la vez nos unan como comunidad. Invitamos a los padrinos de Confirmación que asistan, si pueden. Padres de familia, por favor compartan esta información y la que recibirán en las clases con los padrinos. Y hablen con sus hijos!
Nuestra próxima sesión de clase para padres y padrinos será el domingo, 4 de diciembre a las 9am o el miércoles 7 de diciembre a las 4:45pm en la Iglesia.
