Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

JMJ July 28, 2019 My Dearest Parish Family, God be with us always. Congratulations to our Newly Ordained Priest Fr. Martin Vu!

our Vacation Bible School – VBS “ROAR”. This is a perfect opportunity for our young to spend time encountering Jesus in prayer, activity, and in one another. On behalf of our Parish Family, I sincerely thank Suzanne Loberg, her family and the numerous volunteers who will make this event as successful as it has been for the past years. Fifth, we have began our registration for our Faith Formation on all levels but I wish to emphasize our Youth Ministry Programs of EDGE and LIFE TEEN. This year we are committed to reach out to our young people by providing them the opportunity to encounter the Lord and each other. I humbly ask our parents to encourage their children to be engaged in EDGE and LIFE TEEN.

We are blessed to have him as our Parochial Vicar. He brings with him the numerous gifts of ordination and the wellspring of his formation for pastoral ministry. I do hope you take time to congratulate him whenever you These are five of the numerous reasons we see him. are blessed by our Loving and Caring God Indeed, the Loving Father can never be our Father to whom we can always cry out outdone in generosity since in a matter of Abba Father in the prayer His Son has taught less than two weeks we have been given us. Let us continue to be grateful for all the precious blessings. First the gift of the graces and may it motivate us to truly be Dedication of a New Cathedral last July 17th witnesses and disciple-stewards of Jesus our our Diocese now has a sacred space for our Lord. God bless and take care. Diocesan Celebration. This is the culmination of the journey began with the acquisition in Love and prayers, 2012 through the efforts of Bishop Brown. Bishop Vann carried the burden of seeing it to its completion when he became Bishop of Orange. Our Music Director Andre composed some of the music used for the three-day Fr. Thomas Paul K. Naval events of the Dedication. Our Santiago Minstrels and the FFRG South Chapter were part of the representatives who prayed in the Vigil of the Relics following the Solemn Evening Prayer. Second, we had a beautiful celebration of our Annual Feast in Honor of St. James both in our Camino #AlongTheWay5 and on the day of the Feast July 25th. Around 660 pilgrims and Camino Ministers made this event truly a spiritual experience. Bishop Timothy Freyer with Fr. Brandon Dang as the MC presided at the Eucharist reminding everyone of our mandate to evangelize and share the gifts of our Parish Family. On behalf of our parish, my sincerest gratitude for all who shared of JMJ themselves to make it a success. 28 de julio de 2019 Third, we also had a great opportunity for fellowship and learning through the Backyard Theology series during Mondays in July. Kay Kenson with the help of the loving service of kind hearts had made the meals truly enjoyable and the presentations enlightening, relevant and meaningful. July 29th is the last night of Backyard Theology.

Mi Querida Familia Parroquial, Dios esté con nosotros siempre. Felicitaciones a nuestro sacerdote recién ordenado p. Martin Vu!

Fourth, next week we shall be hearing the joyful sounds of our children and youth De hecho, el Padre amoroso nunca puede ser volunteers who will have a week of superado en generosidad, ya que en menos de dos encounter with the Loving Living Word in semanas hemos recibido bendiciones preciosas.

Dios bendiga y cuide. Con amor y mis oraciones,

Fr. Thomas Paul K. Naval

“We Are One, Living the Gospel Message” Our Parish goal for the 2019 Pastoral Services Appeal is for at least 600 of families to pledge $133,000 to support Faith Formation, Outreach Ministries, Clergy Formation and Support and parish and diocesan advancement. The PSA provides a convenient way for all of us, no matter what our time limitations, to take an active role in the mission of the church. As a guide to a proportionate gift, please consider pledging a percent of your income, or the pay for one or two hours work each month for ten months. You can submit your PSA Pledge Envelope during Masses this weekend or next, or return them to the parish office.

If your family was photographed summer last year by Lifetouch and have NOT picked up your 2018 Photo Directory yet, please come to our Parish Reception Office to get your copy.
