Dear God, in our efforts to dismantle racism, we understand that we struggle not merely against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities those institutions and systems that keep racism alive by perpetuating the lie that some members of the family are inferior and others superior. Create in us a new mind and heart that will enable us to see brothers and sisters in the faces of those divided by racial categories. Give us the grace and strength to rid ourselves of racial stereotypes that oppress some of us while providing entitlements to others. Help us to create a Church and nation that embraces the hopes and fears of oppressed People of Color where we live, as well as those around the world. If you have not heard of it yet – the City of Lake Forest has approved the Plans for the Construction of the Covered Patio. After I write this letter I am hand delivering it to our Bishop Kevin Vann and the Diocese Construction Department so they can refer to us three approved Contractors who shall be invited to bid. Confirmation News Orientation for parents and first class for students is here! September 12th for Confirmation II (2nd year students) from 7pm-9pm Meeting will take place in the parish hall room A to sign in and meet their catechists and leaders. Students will go into their assigned classrooms to have a one hour first class and parents will stay in Room A to discuss the program and calendar details. After class, students will return to the hall to get paperwork signed and turned into the various stations. Please select the retreat that will work with your schedule prior to coming to orientation. The process of welcome and education in the Catholic Christian tradition is called the Order of the Catechumenate. The Order of the Catechumenate dates to the days immediately death MAYafter 21, the 2017 of Christ. It’s a process whereby unbaptized and those baptized in another Christian tradition come to know, understand and embrace the Catholic faith. Many know and recognize this process as the RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). Are you aware we also have an adapted RCIA program for unbaptized children grades 1 through 12? We offer the adult process in either English or Spanish and the Children’s process is bi-lingual. La Diócesis Católica Romana de Orange está unida tanto en oración como en el esfuerzo de recaudar fondos para ayudar en este caso. Todos somos bienvenidos a hacer una donación para ayudar a las víctimas. Este fin de semana habrán dos canastas en el altar designadas para esta colecta. MANTAS O CHALES DE ORACIÓN Para aquellos que necesitan un signo tangible de consuelo tenemos en nuestra parroquia las “MANTAS DE ORACIÓN”. Estos chales son un recordatorio tangible del cuidado de Dios y de su amor infalible e incondicional. Los chales serán bendecidos y distribuidos durante la Misa con el Sacramento de la Unción de los Enfermos cada segundo sábado del mes a las 8:00 am. Póngase en contacto con la Oficina de Recepción de la Parroquia para hacer una solicitud de estos chales o solicitarlos para alguien que usted conoce.
Registración de RICA A medida que el año litúrgico de la Iglesia tiende a estudiar y reflexionar, nosotros, la comunidad de fe de Santiago, nos preparamos una vez más para aquellos que buscan conocimiento e información sobre nuestra tradición Católica Cristiana. El proceso de bienvenida y educación en la tradición Católica Cristiana se llama Orden del Catecumenado. La Orden del Catecumenado se relata a los días inmediatamente posteriores a la muerte de Cristo. Es un proceso por el cual los no bautizados y los bautizados en otra tradición Cristiana llegan a conocer, entender y abrazar la fe Católica. Muchos conocen y reconocen este proceso como el programa RICA (Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos). ¿Sabe usted que también tenemos un programa adaptado de RICA para niños no bautizados de 1 a 12? Ofrecemos el proceso para adultos en inglés o español y el proceso de los niños es bilingüe. Formas de registración para Adultos y Niños están disponible en la oficina parroquial o en la página web de la parroquia www.sdccatholic.org, seleccione boletines y formularios y siga las instrucciones. Para mas información, llame a la oficina de Catecumenado 949-951-8599 ext. 231 Clase de zumba La próxima clase de Zumba será el jueves 14 de Septiembre de 5:30pm to 6:30pm en los salones J y K en el Parish Hall. Esta clase es para adultos mayores de 18 años. La clase es gratuita solo les pedimos una donación voluntaria que será usada para ayudar a cubrir necesidades de la parroquia.

September 10, 2017 Nueva Clase de Biblia en Español Te invitamos a que participes de la Clase de Biblia en español, una interesante forma de aprender y crecer en nuestra Fe, ofrecida aquí en nuestra parroquia de manera gratuita.
El próximo jueves 14 de septiembre de 2017 estaremos aprendiendo sobre los misterios gozosos 1. Primer Misterio: todo gran hecho culmina en un anuncio de MAY 21, 2017 alguna clase, Gabriel anuncia a María. 2. Segundo Misterio: María hace un visita excepcional a Isabel y esta la recibe como la madre del salvador. 3. Tercer Misterio: El nacimiento de Jesús, nuestro redentor se hace hombre. No te pierdas la oportunidad de profundizar y entender los misterios del rosario. Recuerda: Todos los jueves a las 6:45 pm en el salón Parroquial. Solo adultos. No habrá cuidado de niños. GRUPO DEL ROSARIO La comunidad de Santiago de Compostela tiene un grupo de oración en español que es devoto al rezo del Rosario. Ven a la Capilla del Santísimo todos los lunes a las 7 pm y acompáñanos a rezar el Rosario por las intenciones de todas nuestras familias. ¡Te esperamos!
¿ERES DE LENGUA SUELTA? O ¿TIENES SUELTA LA LENGUA? ¿Es lo mismo ser de lengua suelta, que tener suelta la lengua? NO, No es lo mismo. Una persona que es de lengua suelta, se la pasa hablando y criticando a los demás. En cambio, una persona tiene “suelta la lengua” proclama el reino de Dios y lo que Jesús ha hecho en su vida. En nuestra iglesia estamos necesitados de personas que tengan suelta la lengua. Son muy pocas personas las proclaman en reino de Dios. Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: “la cosecha es mucha, y los trabajadores pocos, rueguen, por tanto, a los dueños de la mies para que envíe trabajadores a sus cosechas” ¡La mayoría de los católicos estamos enmudecidos! A muchos les da pena hablar de Jesús a los demás, pero no les da pena hablar de los demás. ¿Te imaginas como seria nuestra parroquia si todos tuviéramos suelta la lengua? ¡Hermano, hermana, te invito para que ruegues a nuestro Señor Jesucristo que te sane de tu mudez! Empieza por tu casa, háblale a tus hijos de Jesús, aunque te rechacen al principio. Lee, para ti y para tu familia, la palabra de Dios y empápate de ésta. Conoce a Jesús desde su propia historia, vive sus enseñanzas. La mejor manera de conocer a Cristo es leyendo los evangelios y a través de la oración, entonces te exhorto a que con humildad ruegues a Cristo para que te suelte la lengua. ¡Dios te bendiga!
