PASTOR’S CORNER
Estimados Feligreses,
Dear Parishioners,
I invite the parish to some important events during March.
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
¡Vengan y únanse a mí!
Con las Bendiciones de Cuaresma, Padre Gerardo
1. On March 18th we welcome Sr. Cecilia, Prioress from the Benedictine Monastery in Bristow to our TGIF (Think God its Friday) for a presentation at Fr. Griffin Hall. In light of the Benedictine tradition of hospitality she will present a perspective on Immigration. We usually gather before 7 pm. 2. Our major parish event honoring St. Joseph and St Patrick will take place on March 19th, beginning around 7:30 pm. We always like participants to buy tickets in advance (available from parish office) for this dinner dance. This multicultural event encourages us to build a sense of unity as a parish. 3. The George Brent Knights of Columbus have invited me to serve as Grand Marshall of the Manassas St. Patrick's Day Parade, // www.stpatparade.net/, on Saturday, March 12th at 11 am. I welcome all my brother Knights, their families and fellow parishioners of Holy Family to join me for the event on March 12th. 4. Bishop Loverde joins me in a celebration of the Annual Diocesan Gaelic Mass in honor of St. Patrick at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More on Monday, March 14th at 7:30 pm, followed by a light reception. Be my guest. 5. I've been invited to preach at the 1o0th Anniversary Mass for the Easter Rising at St. Aloysius, Washington, DC on Monday March 28th at 12 noon. Come join me.
With Lenten Blessings, Fr. Gerry Creedon

Stewardship Reflections February 28, 2016 3rd Sunday of Lent “He said to the gardener, ‘For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none.’” (LUKE 13:7) Are you like the barren fig tree? How will you respond when God asks you what you have done with all the gifts He has given you? Remember, not only are we called to be generous, we are called to develop and nurture our gifts and return with increase.

From the desk of Mrs. Judi Peacott, Last week, our preschool children were delighted with a performance by Peter McCory, the One-ManBand, during our "Wee Willie Winkie Day". Everyone attended preschool in their pajamas (yes, even our teachers :) and chocolate chip pancakes were served, fresh off the griddle for snack! It was a great day. This coming week, our preschool children will be attending Mass on Friday. We will also have an early dismissal on this day at 11:30, there will be no afternoon programs. Open Registration has begun and if you would like a tour or more information about our wonderful, Christ centered program, please contact Mrs. Judi Peacott at 703-6708161 ext. 314.
