Sergio Says… Finding Inspiration I have enjoyed studying people who have achieved great success in their lives. Of course, there's a long list of over-achievers that I have come to admire, but there's one man in particular that stands out in my mind -- Samuel B. Fuller. Like many businessmen, Fuller was an entrepreneur who achieved great success and fame despite many obstacles in his life. He was African-American, born to a poor family during a time of horrendous racism. He had just about every conceivable disadvantage most people can imagine; yet, he was able to achieve more than most men who had more advantages. I had to find out how he did it! It was his mother that told him, "Don't ever let me hear you say it is God's Will that we be poor. We are poor -- not because of God. No one in our family has ever developed a desire to be anything else." His mother made him understand that anyone can change their circumstances, if one strongly desires it. This idea became so engrained in Fuller that it changed his whole life. He began to want to be rich. He kept his mind on the things he wanted, and off the things he didn't want. He developed a burning desire to be rich, and he overcame every obstacle to achieve it. This is one of life's most important lessons. Focus on whatever goal you want, whether it's wealth, better health, improved relationships, a new house, etc., It's not enough to simply wish for it. One must develop a burning desire. This is the starting point of all great achievement. As always, I wish you all the success for which you have a burning desire!

Encontrar inspiración He disfrutado estudiar a personas que han logrado un gran éxito en sus vidas. Por supuesto, hay una larga lista de triunfadores sorprendentes que he llegado a admirar, pero hay un hombre en particular que es el primero que me viene a la mente: Samuel B. Fuller.

Como muchos hombres de negocios, Fuller era un empresario que alcanzó gran éxito y fama a pesar de muchos obstáculos en su vida. Era afroamericano, nacido de una familia pobre durante un tiempo de racismo horrendo. Tenía casi todas los inconvenientes concebibles que la mayoría de la gente puede imaginar; sin embargo, fue capaz de lograr más que la mayoría de los hombres que tenían más ventajas. ¡tenía que averiguar cómo lo hizo! Fue su madre quien le dijo: “nunca permitas que te escuche decir que es la voluntad de Dios que seamos pobres. Somos pobres pero no porque Dios lo quiso así. Nadie en nuestra familia ha desarrollado nunca el deseo de ser alguien diferente.” Su madre le hizo entender que cualquiera puede cambiar sus circunstancias, si uno lo desea firmemente. Esta idea quedó tan arraigada en Fuller que le cambió la vida. Empezó a querer ser rico. Mantuvo su mente en las cosas que quería, y fuera de las cosas que no quería. Desarrolló un deseo ferviente de ser rico, y venció todos los obstáculos para lograrlo. Esta es una de las lecciones más importantes de la vida. Enfócate en cualquier meta que quieras, ya sea riqueza, mejor salud, mejores relaciones, una casa nueva, etc. No es suficiente con solo desearlo. Uno debe desarrollar un deseo ferviente. Este es el punto de partida de todos los grandes logros. Como siempre, ¡les deseo todo el éxito del mundo para todo lo que desean con fervor!
