We are pleased to report that we have obtained another successful loan modification for one of our clients where we achieved a principal reduction in the amount of $158,000, AND lowered her interest rate from 5% to 2%! We not only saved her home from foreclosure, but also saved her over $250,000 over the life of the loan.
We were so excited about this outcome that we started to look at all of the loan modifications that we closed during the past year and we found that about half of the clients received a loan principal reduction, resulting in savings to those clients of approximately a million dollars! We achieved almost $150,000 in annual payment reductions for clients last year, and as a result of these loan modifications, the interest rate on the mortgages was reduced by an average of 3%! If you take that reduction and spread it over the life of the average mortgage, our clients will enjoy millions of dollars in savings!
