~ REFLECTION ~ Our reading from the Acts of the Apostles today shows us how the early church learned to listen to the Holy Spirit and work together to bring about peace of mind to the members of the community. Our loving God invites us to work together to spread the Good News. As we hear God’s holy word today, let us listen for what God is telling us about how to be messengers of peace and unity within the Church and beyond. How can I be prayerfully open to the Spirit’s guidance like the early community? To whom can I be compassionately responsive?

May 7th Saturday: Acts 18:23-28; John 16:23-28

RESPONSORIAL PSALM: O God, let all the nations praise you!

Child Protection Certification Course: Please note that ALL ministry members must complete the Child Protection Certification Course to participate in any activities involving the youth of the Parish. Preventing child sexual abuse is a partnership. It requires education, training, and action from parents, other adults, organizations, and children. As adults, we need to learn to recognize other adults who are a risk to kids – ours and the others in the community. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, which gives us all an opportunity to learn more about what the Archdiocese of Los Angeles is doing to prevent child sexual abuse from happening. For more information about the VIRTUS® Child Abuse Prevention Programs for Adults and Children contact [email protected].
