Smarter Balanced Testing Smarter Balanced testing will take place April 24 -May 19. Teachers have been working very hard to support students in mastering the Common Core State Standards. Students in 3rd -6th grades will take the test. We need all students at school on time. Please try to avoid scheduling appointments during school hours on these days. It is important for students to be well rested during this time. We appreciate all of your support!

Warrior Sports Update Baseball and softball season are in full swing this month for our Madison Warriors.

Madison PTA The Madison PTA is in need of volunteers for the Madison Spring Carnival Friday, May 12th. The next PTA meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, at 3:45 pm in Rm 22. Thank you for your support!

Parent Input Forms Parent Input Forms are an opportunity for parents to provide information regarding their child. This information will be used when classroom placement considerations are being made for the 2017-18 school year. Forms are available in the Madison office. Please remember that every student should be at school, ready to learn at 8:45 every morning. April was Autism Awareness Month Madison Warriors recognized Autism Awareness Month in April and participated in discussions, a writing scenario and activities. Teaching children about disabilities is simple: Begin by talking about them. Children learn compassion and understanding when we teach them to value diversity and accept differences. Parents and teachers can help students learn about other disabilities and the equipment some people use to assist them such as hearing aids, wheel chairs and walkers. Explain how equipment can assist students in participating in class the same as other students. All students share the common goal to have fun and make friends while achieving their academic goals at school. We are ALL different. Our differences are what makes us all so special.

Formas de Entrada Paternales Formas de Entrada Paternales son un oportunidad de padres para proveer información en cuanto a su niño. Este la información será usada cuando las consideraciones de colocación de aula están siendo hechas durante el 2017-18 año escolar. Las formas están disponibles en la oficina Madison. Asistencia Gracias Más niños están presentando a la escuela a tiempo. Cada minuto cuenta aquí en Madison, así que apreciamos sus esfuerzos en hacer que sus hijos esten a tiempo. Abril es el Mes de Concientización del Autismo Madison Warriors reconoció el Mes de Concientización sobre el Autismo en abril y participó en discusiones, un escenario de escritura y actividades. Enseñar a los niños acerca de las discapacidades es simple: comience por hablar de ellos. Los niños aprenden compasión y comprensión cuando les enseñamos a valorar la diversidad y aceptar las diferencias. Los padres y maestros pueden ayudar a los estudiantes a aprender sobre otras discapacidades y el equipo que algunas personas usan para ayudarles, tales como audífonos, sillas de ruedas y caminantes. Explique cómo el equipo puede ayudar a los estudiantes a participar en clase igual que otros estudiantes.
