School Picture Day

Dia de tomarse la foto

School pictures will be taken at school on Thursday, September 14th. Class pictures will also be taken at that time. School picture package information will be sent home with your child in the Thursday folder. Check your child’s backpack. The folders contain important school information. Thursday folders are given to every student and should be returned the next day.

Las fotos escolares se tomarán jueves el 14 de septiembre. También se tomarán fotografías de clase en ese momento. La información del paquete de fotos de la escuela será enviada a casa con su hijo en la carpeta del jueves. Revise la mochila de su hijo. Las carpetas contienen información importante de la escuela. As a staff we are trying a new electronic sign up for parent-teacher conference. You will need to download a QR code app and then scan the barcode under your teacher’s name. You will be given options to select a date and time to conference with your child’s teacher. Another option to sign up for classes would be to select the web link below your teacher’s name and you will be given the same option to select a date and time to conference with your child’s teacher. Please make sure that you are signed up for a conference.

Como personal, estamos intentando una nueva inscripción electrónica para la conferencia de padres y maestros. Tendrá que descargar una aplicación de código QR y luego escanear el código cuadrado bajo el nombre de su maestro. Parking Lot & Drop-Off/Pick-Up



Parking lot is open only to busses and parents with handicapped parking passes all mornings 7:30-7:50 AM, and all afternoons 2:45-3:20 PM



1/2 day Kinder can pick up at the east end of the main parking lot from 11:05-11:45 AM Monday-Friday



Busses will be loading and unloading in front of the building



There is a drop-off/pick-lane on the west side of the building



There is no parking on Palermo Ave between Milan St and Rialto Ave



Evans Police has confirmed that no U-Turn should be made coming out of the drop off lane on Palermo Ave.



In order to come into the parking lot during closed hours, listed above, vehicles will need a “Husky Pass” from the office.

To be most efficient in student pick-up and drop-off times, here are a few tips: 1. The best, and most easily accessible, parking will be north of Ann K. Heiman. 2. When coming to Ann K. Heiman off 37th St, use Sienna Ave and come around to the north side of the school. 3. The pick-up/drop-off zone is for quick drop-off and pick-ups. THERE IS NO PARKING IN THIS LANE. 4. The front doors of the school will not be a good “meeting place.” Please, find another location along the west side of the school. 5. To be most efficient please come to school with a meet-up plan in place. If a vehicle is coming into the parking lot with a “Husky Pass,” please come straight in off Rialto Ave. (There will be no right or left hand turns during closed parking hours)

Last, but certainly not least, courtesy. 

Please do not park in front of our neighbors' driveways.



Follow all speed limits.



If you see a vehicle that is not following these guidelines, please report to Ann K. Heiman office staff or Evans Police department. Do not engage in conflict. Remember our children are watching.

Estacionamiento y los tiempos de dejar y recoger a los estudiantes



Estacionamiento está abierto sólo a los camiones y los padres con pase de estacionamiento para discapacitados todas las mañanas 7: 30-7: 50 AM, y todas las tardes 2: 45-3: 20 PM



1/2 día Kinder puede recoger en el extremo este del estacionamiento principal de 11:05-11: 45 AM de lunes a viernes



La zona de carga y descarga para los camiones escolares esta en frente del edificio



Hay un carril continuo para dejar y recoger a estudiantes en el lado oeste del edificio



No hay estacionamiento en Palermo entre Milan St. y la Avenida Rialto



La Policía de Evans ha confirmado que no se debe hacer una vuelta en U saliendo del carril continuo en la Avenida Palermo.



Para entrar en el estacionamiento durante las horas cerradas, enumeradas arriba, los vehículos necesitarán un "Pase Husky" de la oficina

. Para ser más eficiente en la recogida de estudiantes y en los horarios de entrega, aquí hay algunos consejos:

1. El estacionamiento mejor y más accesible, esta al norte de Ann K. Heiman. 2. Cuando llegue a Ann K. Heiman en la calle 37, use la avenida Sienna y vaya a la parte al norte de la escuela. 3. El carril de recoger/ dejar es para dejar y recoger rápidamente. NO HAY ESTACIONAMIENTO EN ESTA RUTA. 4. Las puertas delanteras de la escuela no son un buen "lugar de encuentro". Por favor, encuentre otra ubicación a lo largo del lado oeste de la escuela.

5. Para ser más eficiente por favor venga a la escuela con un plan de reunión en el lugar. Si un vehículo está entrando en el estacionamiento con un "Husky Pass", por favor, vaya directamente en la avenida Rialto. (No habrá vueltas a la derecha ni a la izquierda durante las horas de estacionamiento cerrado)

Por último, pero no menos importante, cortesía.  Por favor, no estacione enfrente de las calzadas de nuestros vecinos.  Siga todos los límites de velocidad.  Si ve un vehículo que no sigue estas pautas, por favor informe al personal de la oficina de Ann K. Heiman o al departamento de policía de Evans. No entablar conflictos. Recuerde que nuestros hijos están observando.

IMPORTANT SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR 2017-18

The school day will be from 7:50 AM-3:10 PM Monday-Friday. Half-Day Kindergarten will be from 7:50 AM-11:05 AM Monday-Friday. THERE WILL NO LONGER BE EARLY RELEASE MONDAYS, ALL DAYS WILL HAVE THE SAME SCHEDULE. There will be 5 Mondays throughout the year when students will not come to school to allow teachers opportunities for professional development. CAMBIOS IMPORTANTES AL HORARIO ESCOLAR PARA 17-18 El día escolar será de 7:50 AM-3:10 PM de lunes a viernes. El Kinder de medio día será de 7:50 AM-11: 05 AM de lunes a viernes. Become a Husky Community Volunteer We will be hosting our 1st Annual Husky Fun Run as our school wide fundraiser for the 2017-2018 school year. We would appreciate as much help from our families and community leaders as possible. We are excited to share in the excellent journey with you. We will be having our 1st Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting on September 12th at 7:00AM, breakfast will be provided. At the meeting we will be planning our 1st Annual Husky Fun Run, please plan to attend and find out what Ann K. Heiman is all about. Check out the QR code to become a Husky Community Volunteer.

Sea Voluntario en Nuestra Comunidad Escolar Estaremos proporcionando nuestro 1ro Corrido de Husky para recaudar fondos para la escuela para el año escolar 2017-2018. Agradeceríamos la mayor cantidad de ayuda posible de nuestras familias y líderes de la comunidad. Estamos emocionados de compartir en el excelente camino con usted. We will be participating in the Evans Heritage Day parade the morning of Saturday September 16, we are excited that the city of Evans has brought back this event and we are hoping a lot of Heiman Huskies to show up and show their Heiman pride in the parade. We will be sending out more information soon but please save that date on your calendar. More information about this event can be found at http://www.evanscolorado.gov/citymanager/evans-heritage-day. Husky Families will be gather in the park afterwards for a picnic. Bring your own pick and seating to visit with your child’s teachers and Heiman staff.
