Unplug from your devices and join us for an evening of coloring, knitting, and origami! Complete the Degree Information Table (A): Wednesday, May 18th, 11 AM. Adults are invited to stop by to learn more about where to start their college search and resources available to them.

ARE YOU THE NEXT WINNER OF THE BLUE ISLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY’S “BLUE ISLAND’S GOT TALENT” CONTEST? Do you sing? Dance? Play an instrument? Have a funny comedy routine? Then this contest is for you! It is open to anyone with a Blue Island Public Library Card aged 13 or above. The winner will receive a $100 visa gift card and will be judged by the audience members attending. Singers should provide background tracks or sing a capella; performers their own instruments. Solo or group acts welcome. Acts should be no more than 2-3 minutes in length. With art supplies purchased through a grant from the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation, we draw, write, paint, print, or other...creative nonsense. Beginner’s Japanese (YA): Now an ongoing class! Every other Wednesday (5/4, 5/18, 6/1, 6/15, 6/29), 4PM-5PM. Come learn with us! No previous experience necessary. Learn a bit about the Japanese alphabets, and how to write and speak a few words and phrases. And explore traditional crafts and culture. Taught by our own Beatriz Olmedo.

Let it go, so that it may enrich someone else’s moment upon discovery.
