We’ve got the power...Game On!!

Dear CES Students and Families, Welcome back to Cooper Elementary School where “We’ve Got The Power and It’s Game On!” What a blessing for us to be associated with a school that has such a rich tradition of excellence. We are proud of our dedicated, experienced staff and enthusiastic learners! This summer has been busy for our CES Family. For example, our staff has planned and prepared for your child(ren); Our office team has registered new families, ordered needed materials and updated student files; Our custodians/maintenance workers have spent their summer thoroughly cleaning the building and keeping our grounds immaculate; Our food service fed our summer school students and have planned a healthy menu for our upcoming year; And, our awesome PTO has geared up to welcome families, provide volunteer opportunities, and offer other exciting events. We are indeed a hardworking and caring community with a shared vision of success for our students. Cooper Elementary students will continue to focus on character education initiatives through Rachel’s Challenge, AVID instructional strategies in the areas of writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization and reading ( WICOR), the use of data to drive instruction, response to intervention (RTI), enrichment, and will consistently implement a rigorous curriculum to help increase student achievement. All signs point to another productive school year full of great opportunities. We are eager to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success at Cooper Elementary! If you would like for your student to eat br eakfast at school, be sur e to have the m her e by 7:30 so they will have ple nty of tim e to eat, class begin s at 8:00. S nacks will be av ailab le in the cafet er ia dur ing lunch. Pr ices range fr om $ 0.30 to $ 1.00. Ice cr eam will be ava ilable for 2nd -5th gr ader s each day and 1st gr ade on Fr idays. If you’d like to come and eat lunch wi th your student, please come through the mai n entr ance a nd get your visitor ’s pass. 

Box Tops for Education will be making a digital transition this year. They now have an app that you can download to scan your grocery receipts and collect Box Tops without all the cutting and collecting. However, if you have unexpired Box Tops we will still be able to turn those in. You may have your student bring them in a Ziploc or on a Box Tops Collection sheet with their name and grade level. Our school receives $0.10 for each Box Top and we have two turn in dates for the year, November and March.

Tenemos el poder ... ¡Juego encendido!

Estimados estudiantes y familias de CES: Bienvenido de nuevo a la Escuela Primaria Cooper, donde "Tenemos el poder y es Game On! "¡Qué bendición para nosotros estar asociados con una escuela que tiene una rica tradición de excelencia. ¡Estamos orgullosos de nuestro personal dedicado y experimentado y estudiantes entusiastas! Este verano ha estado ocupado para nuestra familia CES. Por ejemplo, nuestro personal ha planeado y preparado para su (s) hijo (s); Nuestro equipo de oficina ha registrado nuevas familias, ordenó los materiales necesarios y actualizó los archivos de los estudiantes; Nuestros conserjes / trabajadores de mantenimiento han pasado el verano limpiando a fondo el edificio y manteniendo nuestros terrenos impecables; Nuestro servicio de comida alimentó a nuestros estudiantes de la escuela de verano y ha planeado un menú saludable para nuestro próximo año; Y, nuestro increíble PTO se ha preparado para dar la bienvenida a las familias, brindar oportunidades de voluntariado y ofrecer otros eventos emocionantes. De hecho, somos una comunidad trabajadora y solidaria con una visión compartida de éxito para nuestros estudiantes. Box Tops for Education realizará una transición digital este año. Ahora tienen una aplicación que puede descargar para escanear sus recibos de supermercado y recoger Box Tops sin todos los recortes y recogidas. Sin embargo, si tiene Box Tops sin vencer, aún podremos entregarlos. Puede hacer que su estudiante los traiga en un Ziploc o en una hoja de la Colección Box Tops con su nombre y nivel de grado.
