ABA 101: Functions of Behavior Workshops for Families and Professionals Date: Saturday, January 13, 2018 Registration: 8:30am Workshop: 9:00am – 12:30pm Location: 1663 Mission Street Suite 700 San Francisco, CA 94103 This discussion will take an in-depth look at why behaviors occur. The group will work to define the four functions of behavior and will learn an array of strategies to address unwanted behaviors based on the function. The group will also learn how to use the function of behavior to identify appropriate replacement behaviors that can be taught to increase appropriate behaviors and independence.

Free childcare, accommodation and interpretation services are available to families who preregister with one week’s notice.

ABA 101: Funciones de la conducta Talleres para familias y profesionales Fecha: Sabado 13 de enero del 2018 Registracion: 8:30am Taller: 9:00am – 12:30pm

Con este taller se llevará a cabo un análisis profundo sobre las causas de las conductas. El grupo trabajará para definir las cuatro funciones de la conducta y aprenderá un conjunto de estrategias para abordar conductas indeseadas basadas en la función. El grupo también aprenderá a usar la función de la conducta para identificar conductas de reemplazo apropiadas que se puedan enseñar para aumentar las conductas apropiadas e independencia.
