June 2019 Dear District 96 Families, Summer is a fun and exciting time for everyone to enjoy the outdoors and spend time with family and friends. It is also the perfect opportunity to encourage students to read! Over the summer, children who do not read can lose more than two months of reading achievement. In District 96, we are committed to ensuring that this does not happen! Our curriculum office is pleased to announce an additional way to access books as part of our summer reading program, Adventure Awaits with myON!. All of our students have access to myON, a personalized collection of more than 6,000 digital books to read over the summer on computers, laptops, and other devices anytime, anywhere. myON contains books for every age, interest and reading level that will keep our children engaged and learning all summer long. Even on the go, books can be downloaded to read without internet access. There are many exciting features in myON. You can learn more about these features by visiting https://help2.renaissance.com/myON/overview. To log in, use your student’s district email and password. There are two different ways you can access content: ● Download the CLEVER app to your iPad or tablet. Log-in and search for your school. ● Click the ‘Clever’ link on your school’s grade level links.
