      She  didnʼ’t  cook  a  meal.     (Ella  no  cocinó  un  plato.)  

      Did  this  car  run  fast?   (¿Este  coche  fue  rápido?)  

      Did  he  teach  English?   (¿Enseñó  él  inglés?)  

      Did  she  read  a  book  yesterday?   (¿Leyó  ella  un  libro  ayer?)  

      Grammar  Focus  (Paso  a  la  Gramática)       v Cuando  quieres  expresar  la  idea  de  que  una  acción  no  ocurrió  en  el  pasado,  utiliza   la  forma  negativa  del  Tiempo  Pasado.  La  forma  es:  I/You/He/She/It/We/They  +   did  not  +  (verb+ed).  También  puedes  usar  “didnʼ’t”  en  vez  de  “did  not”.  La  forma   del  verbo  no  cambia  en  este  caso.     v Cuando   quieres   preguntar   si   una   acción   empezó   y   terminó   en   un   momento   determinado   del   pasado,   utiliza   la   forma   interrogativa   del   Tiempo   Pasado.   La   forma  es:  Did  +  I/You/He/She/It/We/They  +  (verb+ed)...?  La  forma  del  verbo   no   cambia   en   este   caso.   Normalmente   la   sílaba   final   de   la   última   palabra   se   entona  más  fuerte.

    1)    I  did  not  enjoy  music  so  much.  (No  disfruté  tanto  de  la  música.)  

2)    She  did  not  cry  loudly.  (Ella  no  lloró  ruidosamente.)  

3)    They  did  not  have  a  wonderful  time.  (Ellos  no  pasaron  un  rato  maravilloso.)  

4)    He  did  not  watch  TV  last  night.  (Él  no  vió  la  televisión  anoche.)  

5)    She  didnʼ’t  like  the  actor.  (A  ella  no  le  gusto  el  actor.)  

6)    Ms.  Marie  didnʼ’t  finish  her  homework.            (Ms.  Marie  no  terminó  sus  deberes.)  

7)    I  didnʼ’t  get  up  early  this  morning.  (No  me  levanté  pronto  esta  mañana.)  

8)    They  didnʼ’t  go  to  bed  early  last  night.   (Ellos  no  se  fueron  a  la  cama  pronto   anoche.)
