SERIAL CODE RANGE: Prior to FT15 CONDITION: The dishwasher door is hard to close or can pop open after it is closed.
CAUSE: Several conditions can cause the door to be hard to close or not stay latched. • Check the dishwasher installation to ensure the dishwasher is secured to the counter top, cabinet or floor as needed and that the tub is square to the opening. Check that the dishwasher is level front to back and side to side and that the leveling legs and rollers are adjusted low enough so that the dishwasher tub and top brackets are not tight to the countertop, causing interference. • Check that the door gasket is fully seated in the tub channel. • Check that the upper and lower dish racks are not interfering with the door by removing the dish racks one at a time and rechecking the door closing. If the above conditions are correct and the door is still hard to close, replace the strike plate.
resolution: The strike plate has been modified to provide easier closure. For dishwashers with the towel bar handles and the air vent on top, see figure 1, replace the strike plate with part number 8574157.

RANGO DE CÓDIGOS DE SERIE: Anterior a FT15 CONDICIÓN: Es difícil cerrar la puerta de la lavavajillas o se abre de golpe después de cerrarla.
RESOLUCIÓN: El cerradero se ha modificado para que la puerta se pueda cerrar con más facilidad. Para las lavavajillas con agarraderas en forma de toallero y orificio de ventilación en la parte superior, vea la figura 1 y reemplace el cerradero con la pieza número 8574157.
CAUSA: Existen varias condiciones por causa de las cuales es posible que sea difícil cerrar la puerta o que no permanezca cerrada. • Verifique la instalación de la lavavajillas para asegurarse de que la misma esté asegurada a la parte superior del mostrador, gabinete o piso según sea necesario, y de que la tina esté a escuadra con la abertura. Verifique que la lavavajillas esté nivelada de adelante hacia atrás y de lado a lado; que las patas niveladoras y los rodillos estén ajustados bajos, para que la tina de la lavavajillas y los soportes superiores no estén apretados al mostrador, causando interferencia. • Verifique que la junta de la puerta esté encajada por completo en el canal de la tina. • Verifique que las canastas de platos superior e inferior no interfieran con la puerta, sacándolas de a una; vuelva as fijarse cómo cierra la puerta. Si las condiciones mencionadas arriba están de manera correcta y todavía es difícil cerrar la puerta, reemplace el cerradero.
