  Dear Families,   Thank  you parents for your continued   support with our month th of busy testing. As you know, our 8 grade scholars recently took the STAAR Reading and Mathematics. Those scholars who did not pass STAAR for 8th grade have been in tutoring, and will continue tutoring until the examination. For those scholars on academic probation, grade placement meetings will occur during the last two weeks of school. Please make sure to hold these dates:  

June 5 – June 23 – Summer School for scholars who do not pass the 8th grade STAAR. June 19 - June 30 – Summer School for scholars in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade who did not pass courses

Believe it or not, we are preparing for the 2017 – 2018 school year! As you know, the first day of school is August 8th. Please note I will be unable to accept scholars after the first day of school and will not excuse any absences. Please plan accordingly. Also, please save the date for Meet the Teacher on August 9th from 3:30 – 6:30. I have spent many hours these past week recruiting, interviewing, and hiring our new teachers. As mentioned, next year we will be adding two next staff members: Middle School Math Intervention Teacher and Seventh Grade Science. Both teachers have five years of experience with excellent student achievement results and will be a great asset to our community. Thank you for all that you do for our school!
