I hope you and your families enjoyed the well‐deserved break. During this break, I had the opportunity to think about how thankful I am for our wonderful scholars. I am thankful for their hard work, grit, leadership, creative ideas, and achievements on and off the field. Some of our achievements this year are below:

A. Lacrosse Team Championships: Our 6 – 8 grade lacrosse team won their championship game! That was wonderful! B. Volleyball: Our girls also placed 3rd place in the District! C. Color guard: Our Color Guard performed at the Veteran’s Day Parade! D. Scholar Proposals: a. Scholars asked for multiple clubs this year. I am very proud of scholars for requesting Destination Imagination and Feminism Club this year, hosted by Mrs. Parker. b. Student Council, led by Mrs. Cook, is working very hard to plan events for 8th grade. E. Common Assessment Highlights: a. 6th grade placed 3rd in the network for Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. Way to go! b. 7th grade placed 3rd in the network for Science and Language Arts. Way to go! c. 8th grade placed 3rd in the network for 8th Grade General Math. Way to go! Homework (Life Work): Our homework completion rates are improving. Many parents have said the weekly homework in Parent Notes is helpful. Moving forward you will also get an automated email from HERO the minute a teacher sends out a “Life Work” Mark in HERO, our behavior system. HERO logins were mailed out in the summer, and distributed again at Report Card Night. If you need a copy, please email Mrs. Cook at
[email protected]. Fun Friday: Fun Friday is from Dec. 2nd from 8:00 – 8:50 on Friday. As always, if you want to thank a teacher, please donate a treat! Thank you! Queridas Familias, Espero que ustedes y sus familias disfrutaron del bien merecido descanso. Durante esta pausa, tuve la oportunidad de pensar sobre qué agradecida estoy por nuestros escolares maravillosos. Estoy agradecida por su trabajo duro, liderazgo, ideas creativas y logros dentro y fuera del campus. Algunos de nuestros logros de este año están escritos debajo: A. Campeonatos del equipo de lacrosse: Nuestro equipo de lacrosse de 6 º-8 º grado ganó su juego de Campeonato! ¡Fue maravilloso! B. Voleibol: Las chicas también colocan 3er lugar en el distrito. C. Color Guard: Nuestro equipo de Color Guard se presentaron en el desfile del “Día de los Veteranos”! D. Propuestas del Escolar: Escolares pidieron varios clubes este año. Estoy muy orgulloso de los escolares por solicitar destino de imaginación y el club de feminismo este año, organizada por la Sra. Parker. Comité de escolares, dirigido por la Sra. Cook, está trabajando muy duro para planear eventos para 8vo grado. E. Puntos Culminantes: 6º grado coloca 3ro en la red para lenguaje, matemáticas y Ciencias. ¡Camino por recorrer! 7º grado coloca 3ro en la red de ciencia y artes del lenguaje. ¡Camino por recorrer! 8vo grado de 8º Colocó 3ro en la red para 8 grado General matemáticas. ¡Camino por recorrer! Tarea (trabajo de vida): Están mejorando el porcentaje de tareas completas. Muchos padres han dicho que la tarea semanal incluida en las notas de los padres son muy útil.
