Condition: It has been determined that If one of these model refrigerators loses power for several hours resulting in the ice cubes melting, moisture may accumulate around dispenser motor and wiring harness. When power is restored and the water freezes, this could cause the motor not to operate and or the wiring harness to corrode. WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard Disconnect power before servicing. Replace all parts and panels before operating. Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
Solution : Units produced after April 2009, have a hole drilled into the motor cover to allow water to drain from the enclosure, see figure 1.
Quality Improvement Initiative : Figure 1 If servicing one of the models listed that does not already have the hole drilled, remove the auger motor cover and drill a ¼” hole in the cover. Directions: 1. Unplug unit or disconnect power to the unit. 2. Remove two screws securing auger motor cover to the door panel. 3. Position the cover as depicted in figures 2 and figure 2A. Drill a ¼” diameter hole in the cover approximately 29 mm from the left edge and 16 mm from the lower edge. See figure 3. 4. Clean up plastic shavings. ¼" Dia.

Condición: Se ha determinado que si un refrigerador perteneciente a estos modelos experimenta un corte de corriente durante varias horas, haciendo que se derritan los cubos de hielo, es posible que se acumule humedad alrededor del motor del despachador y del mazo de alambres. Cuando se restablezca la energía y se congele el agua, esto puede hacer que el motor no funcione o que se corroa el mazo de alambres.

Peligro de choque eléctrico Desconecte el suministro de energía antes de darle servicio. Vuelva a colocar todas las piezas y paneles antes de ponerlo a funcionar. No seguir esta instrucción puede ocasionar la muerte o choque eléctrico. Solución: Las unidades fabricadas después de abril de 2009 tienen un orificio taladrado en la cubierta del motor, para permitir que el agua se escurra del recinto; vea la figura 1. Iniciativa para el mejoramiento de la calidad: Figura 1 Si está prestando servicio a uno de los modelos enumerados y éste no tiene aún el orificio taladrado, quite la cubierta del motor de espiral y taladre un orificio de ¼” en la cubierta. Instrucciones: 1. Desenchufe la unidad o desconecte el suministro de energía a la misma. 2. Quite los dos tornillos que aseguran la cubierta del motor de espiral al panel de la puerta. 3. Coloque la cubierta como se muestra en las figuras 2 y 2A. Taladre un orificio de ¼” de diámetro en la cubierta, a 29 mm del borde izquierdo y a 16 mm del borde inferior aproximadamente. Vea la figura 3. 4. Limpie las virutas de plástico. ¼" Diám.

5. Instale la cubierta. 6. Enchufe la unidad o reconecte el suministro de energía.
