JMJ October 28, 2018 My Dearest Parish Family, God be with us always.
in great need of the grace to persevere in our vocation and respond fully to the demands of our vocation. Please pray that we may indeed be willing to sacrifice more and more to bring the Good News of God loving concern, healing grace and providence for His people. I personally feel unworthy but I believe as I have stated many times “God does not call the qualified . . . He qualifies those who He calls.” I pray that we priests become truly worthy of our vocation. May I also add that we altogether continue to pray for more vocations to Consecrated Life. God bless and take care.
Allow me to first express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation on behalf of our Parish Family to all those who participated in our October Santiago CultureFest 2018. As you can see in the collage of pictures in this Bulletin, it was indeed an evening to treasure. I would like to acknowledge those who sacrificed so much time, talent and even treasures to make the two days celebration indeed Love and prayers, wonderful and meaningful. As it was the first year we embarked on this direction for our Fall Festival – it was remarkable that everything was went as smooth as possible making CultureFest 2018 a Fr. Thomas Paul K. Naval success. If you did miss this special event then you have a chance to celebrate with us next year. JMJ This week is also the last few days of the Respect for Life Month in October – I do hope that you were aware of the intentions we prayed for and mentioned in the past weeks that were directed towards this Catholic held belief and value for all life. If you have not done so may I encourage you to spend some time to visit the Memorial Shrine for the Unborn. It is located at the entrance of the Parish Hall – before entering the two glass doors I ask that you look to your right to see it. If however, you are exiting the Parish Hall then it is to your left as you go out of the glass doors. I ask that you spend time in quiet prayer and reflection to pray for those who have lost a loved one at a very tender or young age. We have a special card where you can write down the names of the loved ones they lost which you can drop at the box in the Shrine so they are included in the prayers of the people who take time to visit. One other thing you can do when visiting the Shrine is to remember in a sincere prayer for those who are experiencing challenges in their conception, pregnancy or motherhood. I believe they need all the graces and affection we can send their way.
. . Él califica a quienes Él llama. Dios bendiga y cuide. Con amor y mis oraciones,
P. Thomas Paul K. Naval
