• The Church and its people are facing challenges. More than ever, it’s time to have hope and rebuild.
• Through Mass, prayer, retreats, service and formation, the faithful may deepen their relationship with God and grow spiritually.
• In 2018, three men were ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Raleigh.
• Neighbors impacted by Hurricane Florence need assistance as they repair their homes and replace necessities such as clothing, furniture and household goods. Those whose homes were destroyed need help to find affordable housing.
• At this year’s Wedding Anniversary Mass, we celebrated over 4,000 years of marriage in our diocese.
• More than 25 seminarians from our diocese are studying to become priests and serve the sacramental needs of Catholic parishes.
• More than 7,000 students attended a Catholic school in the diocese, and 31,000 received Catechesis and faith formation.
• When hope is renewed, women religious, brothers, clergy and the laity show the true light of Christ in their communities of faith, and beyond.
• For those communities devastated by a natural disaster, it often takes more than two years to rebuild. Recovery is an ongoing effort.
• Growth in numbers is wonderful, but most important are brothers and sisters who help one another become more holy. The diocese is thankful and celebrates this every day!

During the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018, no funds from the Bishop’s Annual Appeal, Our Cathedral: One Faith, One People, or parish savings accounts in the Diocesan Deposit and Loan Program were used to pay any child sexual misconduct claims, legal fees, or counseling costs. If funds were paid, unrestricted reserves or the Diocesan self-insurance fund would cover these and any other liability and casualty claims.

• La Iglesia y su gente se enfrentan a desafíos. Más que nunca, es hora de tener esperanza y reconstruir.
• A través de la misa, la oración, los retiros, el servicio y la formación, los fieles pueden profundizar su relación con Dios y crecer espiritualmente.
• En 2018, tres hombres fueron ordenados al sacerdocio para la Diócesis de Raleigh.
• Los vecinos afectados por el huracán Florence necesitan asistencia para reparar sus hogares y reemplazar cosas básicas tales como ropa, muebles y artículos para el hogar. Aquellos cuyas casas fueron destruidas necesitan ayuda para encontrar viviendas asequibles.
• Más de 3,000 personas recibieron el sacramento de la confirmación.
• Más de 25 seminaristas de nuestra diócesis están estudiando para convertirse en sacerdotes y servir las necesidades sacramentales de las parroquias católicas.
• Más de 7,000 estudiantes asistieron a una escuela católica en la diócesis, y 31,000 recibieron catequesis y formación en la fe.
• Cuando la esperanza se renueva, las religiosas, los hermanos, el clero y los laicos muestran la verdadera luz de Cristo en sus comunidades de fe y más allá de estas.
• Para aquellas comunidades devastadas por un desastre natural, a menudo lleva más de dos años reconstruirse. La recuperación es un esfuerzo continuo.
• El crecimiento en números es maravilloso, pero, lo más importante, son los hermanos y hermanas que se ayudan entre sí a ser más santos. ¡La diócesis está agradecida y celebra esto todos los días!

Durante el año fiscal que finalizó el 30 de junio de 2018, no se utilizaron fondos de la Campaña Anual del Obispo, Our Cathedral: One Faith, One People, o cuentas de ahorro parroquiales en el Programa Diocesano de Depósitos y Préstamos para pagar cualquier reclamo de conducta sexual indebida contra menores, honorarios legales, o gastos de asesoramiento. Si se pagaron fondos, estos fueron tomados de las reservas no restringidas o del fondo de autoseguro diocesano que cubrirían estas y otras reclamaciones de responsabilidad civil y accidentes.
