We have been in school for four weeks and we are off to a great start. We have started sending homework folders. Homework folders will be due on Friday. In math, we have begun Topic 2, we will continue working on using addition and subtraction within 20 to solve problems involving situations of adding to, taking from putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by using objects, drawing, and equations to represent a problem. In writing, we are focusing on letter and number formation. Students are currently writing narratives in their journals. Students will publish one narrative this nine weeks. In reading, students will be taking home guided reading books. Please have your child read the book at home. Students also have sight words flashcards in their homework folder. Practice flashcards at home. Hemos estado en la escuela durante cuatro semanas y hemos tenido un gran comienzo. Hemos comenzado a enviar tarea. Por favor de regrese las carpetas de tareas los viernes.
