In December2018,the Board of Education approved a school calendar for the 2019-20school year that sawthe removal of Late Starts and the addition of six (6) Early Dismissals.Due to a recent change in the Scboo/ Code mandating a five (5) hour school day, the Board approved on Wednesday, June 19an amendment to the school calendar for the 2019-20school year. The amendmentincludes the removal of the six (6) Early Dismissals.The district will conUnue to no longer have Late Starts, asplanned, allowing additional planning time for the elementary staff and additional instructional time for middle and high school students. Attached with this letter is a copy of the amended 2019-20school calendar for your identification.
