Reflexión de mayordomía:
Stewardship is a connection. God gave me the great opportunity to visit some friends I haven't seen in a long time. I am so grateful for the gift of their friendship and the chance to reconnect. Besides the dinners and happy times we shared, I also had the opportunity to serve. I enjoyed the chance to babysit the kids of one of my friends when one of her loved ones got sick. It was my vacation, and I had all the right to say "I'll see you next time" and escape the opportunity of service that was in front of me. How many times do we see the needs of others and act like it is "not my duty, not my time, not me?” When we recognize the gifts, we have and how to put them into action, stewardship becomes not only a familiar term but a way of life. We need to connect with others. We might be aware of our gifts, but if we have no one to serve with them, they are useless. As we begin this new school year, I invite you to let God show you your service potential. Then it is up to you to take action! "For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name by having served and continuing to serve the holy ones." ~Hebrews 6:10
La Corresponsabilidad es una conección. Dios me dió la gran oportunidad de visitar algunos amigos a quienes tenía muchísimo tiempo de no ver. Estoy muy agradecida por el regalo de su amistad y la oportunidad de reconectarnos. Además de las cenas y los momentos felices que compartimos, también tuve la oportunidad de servir. Disfruté la ocasión de cuidar a los hijos de una de mis amigas, mientras ella cuidaba a un familiar enfermo. Eran mis vacaciones y yo tenía todo el derecho a decir "te veo después" y dejar escapar ese momento de servicio que estaba frente a mí. Cuántas veces vemos las necesidades de los demás y actuamos como si "¿no es mi obligación, no es mi tiempo, yo no?". Cuando reconocemos los dones que tenemos y cómo ponerlos en acción, la corresponsabilidad se vuelve no solamente una palabra con la que estamos familiarizados sino un modo de vida. Es necesario conectarnos con los demás. A lo mejor nosotros reconocemos nuestros dones pero, si no tenemos a nadie a quien servir con ellos, son inútiles. Ahora que comenzamos el nuevo año escolar, los invito a que permitan que Dios les muestre su potencial de servicio. ¡La decisión de tomar acciones es suya! "Dios no es injusto y no olvida lo que han hecho y cómo han ayudado y todavía ayudan a los santos por amor de su Nombre." ~ Heb 6,10

Baptism Classes are offered every month—one month in English and one month in Spanish. Families must live within the parish boundaries. Our next classes will be offered on October 1 & 29 at 6:45 pm in the Family Life Center Auditorium. Please bring $10 for the books. The attendance of both parents and godparents is mandatory for the first class. Parents are required to attend the second class “Re-discovering Jesus.” Godparents are welcome. Babysitting is available (18 months12 years old). Please call the office to register and to request babysitting before the classes. Couples are encouraged to attend classes while pregnant. Parents and godparents can take the classes in another parish and bring proof. A copy of your child’s birth certificate is required before the baptism is scheduled.
