Existe una enorme cantidad de variaciones y nombres de acuerdo con el tipo y uso que se les da; las hay de una y dos filas, de tubos en forma de escalera, rectangulares o en escalera alterna, de uso solista o colectivo, con bisel o sin bisel y con una gran variedad en la cantidad de tubos.
