Mould Makers Number of Posts: 10 Contract Type: Indefinite Job description: The selected candidates will be responsible to construct, repair and maintain moulds by using the appropriate designs and machinery. The main tasks, amongst others, include: • Manual work on plastic injection moulds. • CAD/CAM programming, machining of electrodes, CNC-milling, lathe turning, spark & wire erosion or manual milling / drilling. • To evaluate faults and correct accordingly. • To ensure that machines and/or equipment function properly. • To ensure that the workplace, machinery, tools and equipment within the department are maintained clean and organized. Requirements: The ideal candidate should have: • A minimum BTEC National Diploma or OTD certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. • Thorough knowledge of plastic injection moulds. • A sound knowledge of machining applications such as milling, drilling, bench fitting and surface grinding. • Basic knowledge in CNC machining. • Good organizational skills with ability to multitask. • A flexible approach towards changing priorities. • Capability of communicating with all department employees as well as superiors. • Fluent in English/Maltese Training provided: Yes Any assistance with accommodation/relocation Info to be provided during online interview.
