Mini Cats Youth Volleyball Clinics Verona teachers and former collegiate volleyball players, Sarah Grotsky and Holly Parker, will be conducting volleyball skills clinics for boys and girls in grades K-5. Based on the popular Minivolley and Volley Tots philosophies of USA Volleyball and Junior Volleyball Association, Mini Cats clinics provide a fun environment in which kids are taught athletic skills that will enhance their ability to play ALL sports, with an emphasis on volleyball. Skills learned include: hand-eye coordination, balance coordination, body awareness, depth perception,spatial awareness, the basics of passing, setting, hitting, serving and an introduction to team play. A lower net, lighter balls and smaller courts will be used. This year we are excited to offer 12 Friday evening clinics, beginning in October and running through May. Register for individual clinics or get a discount when you register for multiple clinics at a time. *Due to lim ited space each clinic is lim ited to 20 athletes. Cost:

$15 per inidividual clinic or $10 per clinic when registering for 6 or more

Cursos de Volibol Mini-Cats para Jóvenes Las maestras y antiguas jugadores de volibol universitario, Sarah Grotsky y Holly Parker, ofrecerán un curso para enseñar habilidades sobre el deporte de volibol para niños y niñas en los grados K-5. En base de las filosofías populares denominadas Minivolley y Volley Tots de USA Volleyball y la Junior Volleyball Association, los cursos de volibol Mini-Cats proveen un entorno divertido. Se enseña unas habilidades atléticas básicas para realzar su habilidad para participar en CUALQUIER deporte, con un énfasis en el volibol. Las habilidades enseñadas incluyen: coordinación óculo-manual, equilibrio, coordinación, conciencia corporal, percepción de la profundidad, conciencia espacial, las habilidades básicas de recibir y pasar la pelota, colocarla y servirla, y una introducción al juego en equipo. Utilizaremos una red más baja, pelotas más ligeras y canchas más pequeñas. El curso se llevará a cabo 12 sesiones, los viernes por la tarde, entre octubre hasta mayo. Un jugador(a) puede inscribirse en sesiones individuales o recibir un descuento por inscribirse en varias. *Debido al cupo limitado, cada sesión se limita a 20 participantes.
