Festival de Primavera 2019 Grades 1 & 2:​ Wednesday, May 8 Grades 3 & 4:​ Wednesday, May 22

Spring Festival Cali Calmécac’s annual Spring Festival or ​Festival de Primavera​, in which our youngest students perform folkloric and modern dances from Mexico, South America, the Caribbean, Africa and Russia, will be held on two different nights at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. The show for students in ​first and second grades will be Wednesday, May 8 and the show for students in third and fourth will be Wednesday, May 22​. Both shows will be in the Luther Burbank Center’s main auditorium. They will be spectacular shows and you won’t want to miss it!

Student Drop Off /Schedule ♦ Student performers will meet their teachers and/or special adult volunteers in the LBC Atrium at ​5:45 pm. Please follow the signs near the ​north entrance to the theater. No performers will be permitted in the lobby before the show. They will be escorted to the balcony where they will be seated during the show​. Some classes may have their photos taken before the show so please arrive on time. ♦ For security reasons, only adults wearing security badges will be permitted to sit with students. ♦ Doors will be open at 5:45 pm. Entrance will be through the ​north doors exclusively. The other doors will not be open. Any student not participating in the performance must remain ​seated with an adult​ at all times. ♦ The student shows will begin at ​6:30 pm​.

Ticket Sales – IMPORTANT!! Admission is ​$6.00 per person. Students performing in the show do not need a ticket, but all others must have a ticket (parents, volunteers, and siblings*​). ​ ​This policy is due to fire marshal regulations that all in attendance have their own seat. ​Admission monies will help defray the ever-increasing costs of the hall rental and other event expenses. All seating will be assigned and tickets will be sold in advance through the LBC Box Office in person or by telephone. Given a severe ticket shortage last year, ​we will limit tickets to 4 per student dancing​. However, we may be able to offer more tickets closer to the event. Ticket sales will begin on ​Tuesday, April 30th​ at 12pm. LBC Box Office is open 12pm-6pm, Tuesday-Sunday ● NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD ONLINE ● 4-ticket maximum order per student ● Phone Orders:​ 707-546-3600 ● In person at the Box Office: 50 Mark West Springs Rd off Hwy 101 at River Rd ● No tickets will be sold at school ● Please do not assume there will be tickets if you wait until the night of the show to purchase

New Safety Policy at LBC You will be greeted at the door by ushers who will scan or tear tickets prior to your entering the lobby. Once inside, there will be no re-entry permitted if you exit the secure area. Bags will be examined as you enter the lobby. Large bags will not be permitted. This will not only ensure safety but also complies with fire codes regarding keeping the aisles and rows clear.

Dismissal The show will end by approximately 7:30 pm. ​We ask that you remain seated until the end of the performance. Your child will be escorted to the stage at the end of the show. ​Please do not leave the auditorium or socialize until your child is with you. Student supervision by teachers ends at this time.

Photos Group photos of each class will be taken​. A DVD of all of the dances will also be available. ​The deadline for ordering is May 23​. Photos and DVDs will be mailed home. Order forms will be sent home soon and will be available at the events. Proceeds will go to Cali PTA.

Snacks and Drinks Please feed your child dinner before arriving at the Luther Burbank Center. Cookies and drinks will be sold after the show. ​NO FOOD IS ALLOWED INSIDE THE AUDITORIUM. All proceeds go to costumes or other event expenses. Please bring small change.

Donations We hope each family will contribute to our snack sales. Please bring the following to the Luther Burbank Center: ♦ May 8 1​st​ grade​: 2 dozen cookies 2​nd​ grade​: 12 bottles of water ♦ May 23 3​rd​ grade​: 2 dozen cookies 4​th​ grade​: 12 bottles of water Please bring cookies and water directly to the Luther Burbank Center during the day or when you arrive.

Festival de Primavera El Festival anual de Cali Calmécac en cual nuestros estudiantes de grados 1 a 4 presentan bailes de México, Sudamérica, África, el Caribe y Rusia será dividido entre dos fechas en el Centro Luther Burbank. Los estudiantes de primero y segundo bailarán el miércoles 8 de mayo ​mientras los estudiantes de ​tercer y cuarto grados bailarán el miércoles 22 de mayo​. ¡Es un show espectacular y no se lo puede perder!

Horario ♦ Los estudiantes deben estar con sus maestros o los voluntarios especiales a las ​5:45 pm en el atrio de LBC. Un adulto les llevará a encontrarse con sus maestros en el balcón. Por favor, siga las indicaciones cerca de las entradas al norte del teatro. No se permitirán los bailarines entrar al vestíbulo antes del show. Ellos serán acompañados al balcón por un adulto donde se sentarán durante el espectáculo. Se les van a sacar las fotos a algunas clases antes del show; así que es importante que hagan todo lo posible para llegar a tiempo. ♦ Por cuestiones de seguridad solamente los adultos con una insignia de identificación de seguridad podrán sentarse con los estudiantes. ♦ Se abrirán las puertas a las 5:45 pm. ♦ Las entradas estarán por las puertas ​al lado norte​, no por ninguna otra entrada. ♦ Las presentaciones de los bailes comenzarán a las 6:30 pm. ♦ Los menores de edad que no están participando en el show deben ​sentarse con un adulto ​durante todo el show.

Venta de Boletos​ - ¡IMPORTANTE! La entrada cuesta ​$6.00 por persona. Cada adulto, voluntario, y ​hermano/a*​, menos los que van a participar en el show necesita un boleto. Estas son las reglas del departamento de bomberos​. Los fondos ayudarán a pagar la renta del auditorio y otros gastos relacionados con el evento. Habrá venta de boletos por adelantado con asientos asignados a través de la taquilla del Centro Luther Burbank, por teléfono o en la taquilla. Debido a una grave escasez de boletos el año pasado, ​limitaremos los boletos a 4 por estudiante que baila​. Sin embargo, es posible que podamos ofrecer más boletos más cerca del evento. La venta de boletos para ambas fechas comenzará ​el martes 30 de abril​ a las 12pm. Nueva regla de seguridad en LBC Usted será recibido en la entrada para mostrar los boletos antes de ingresar al vestíbulo. Una vez dentro, no se permitirá el reingreso si sale del área segura. Las bolsas serán examinadas al entrar en el vestíbulo. No se permitirán bolsas grandes. Esto no solo garantizará la seguridad, sino que también cumple con los códigos de incendio para mantener los pasillos y filas libres.

Despedida Les pedimos que por favor se queden en sus asientos hasta que termine la función a las 7:30 pm o antes. Al final de la presentación, los niños subirán con sus maestros al escenario. Entonces ustedes podrán llevarse a sus hijos. Por favor no se salga del auditorio o comience a hablar con sus amistades hasta que su niño ya esté con usted. A esta hora los maestros no estarán supervisando a los estudiantes.

Fotos Usted puede pedir una foto del grupo de su estudiante. También se venden videos de todas las clases. Se mandarán los formularios para pedir fotos y videos a casa. La última fecha para pedir fotos es el 23 de mayo​. Las fotos y los vídeos se enviarán a casa por correo. Los fondos recaudados beneficiarán a Cali Calmécac PTA.

Bocadillos Por favor sirva de comer a sus hijos antes de llegar al Centro Luther Burbank. ​NO SE PERMITE TRAER COMIDA AL AUDITORIO. ​Se venderán galletas y refrescos después del show. Las ganancias se usarán para pagar la renta del local para el año entrante. Por favor traiga cambio para esta venta.
