New Transit Fares Beginning in 2018 TUCSON, Ariz. – Effective January 1, 2018, Sun Tran, Sun Link, Sun Shuttle and Sun Van will implement a fare change and continue cost-saving programs for transit riders using a SunGO Card. • Cash fares for full-fare riders and economy-fare passengers will not change. • Cash fares for express riders will now be $2.35 per trip. • Passengers who pay their fare using value on a SunGO Card will pay a discounted fare – $1.60 for full-fare – compared to $1.75 per trip if paying with cash. • Passengers with a SunGO Card or SunGO ID & Card receive two-hours of unlimited transfers after paying a fare on all regular Sun Tran, Sun Link and Sun Shuttle routes. • Passengers who purchase a 1-Day Ticket at the Sun Link streetcar stops will now pay $4.50 for unlimited rides during a 24-hour period.

Full-fare riders on Sun Van ADA service will now pay $3.20 per one-way trip; low-income riders will pay $1.60. Passengers who use Sun Van’s Optional Service will now pay $6 for full-fare and $4 for low income.
