Partners in Reading Community members volunteer their time to help a child with reading. Every volunteer is assigned a child at the beginning o f the year and can spend up to 30 minutes twice weekly during their lunch reading with this child. The program enhances a child's reading ability and self-esteem. This also promotes a meaningful relationship for the student with the volunteer. Compañeros en la Lectura Miembros de la comunidad dan de su tiempor para ayudar a un estudiante con la lectura. A cada voluntario se le asigna un estudiante al principio del año y, dos veces a la semana, puede pasar la hora del almuerzo leyendo con ese estudiante por no más de 30 minutos. El programa mejora la habilidad lectoral del estudiante y su autoestima. Este programa también estimula una relació significante entre el estudiante y el voluntario.
