Come Check Out Our Kits!! I
f you haven’t already noticed, we don’t just do books, DVDs and CDs here at the Blue Island Public Library. We have board games, musical instruments, wireless hotspots and MORE. And now we have STEAM Kits. Each of these five kits is themed around a significant scientist or innovator and includes
instructions and supplies needed to complete projects in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Ask at the reference desk and a librarian will retrieve the kit of your choice. You can check the kit out and take it with you as long as your library card is on
good standing. The kits pictured here are the Dr. Mae C. Jemison Astronomy Kit and the Joan Clarke Codes and Cryptography Kit. Make sure to try all five! This addition to our collection was made possible by a generous grant from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
LIBRARY EVENTS / PROGRAMS UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED, EVENTS TAKE PLACE IN THE LOWER LEVEL MEETING ROOM.
