2/12-2/23 Monday: Chicken nuggets, noodles, steamed carrot coins and fruit Tuesday: Sloppy joes, smile fries, chilled fruit and pork and beans Wednesday: Mozzarella sticks/pizza sauce, steamed broccoli, chilled fruit Thursday: No Lunch/Early release 10:45am Friday: No School Monday: No Scool Tuesday: Grilled cheese sandwich, chicken soup, chilled sliced peaches Wednesday: Hamburger/cheese, potatoe wedges, pork and beans and fruit Thursday: Ham slice, whipped potatoes, green beans, chilled fruit and ww roll Friday: Cheese quesadillas, refried beans rice pilaf and chilled fruit

Attendance incentives for the month of January was a huge success again. I love seeing the students take responsibility and ownership to be in school. Here are the winning results. They received extra treats, dress down and extra recess.

On- Time 3rd place = K4 2nd place = 8th Grade 1st place = 3rd Grade Attendance 3rd place = Tie between Grade 4 and Grade 5 2nd place = 2nd Grade 1st place = 1st Grade Conferences are on Thursday from 12 pm-7pm. All students in 4K and 5K have conferences scheduled. It is optional for students in grades 1-8. Times are being sent home today on lime green paper. The junior high is also presenting their science fair projects this evening from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Come and see them and enjoy dinner sponsored by the 7th grade for their DC trip! PIZZA!

JPIIA Carnival Committee Meeting Planning for our 2nd Annual Carnival has begun. This event, scheduled for Friday, May 4th, will surely be a fun evening but it will take many volunteers to make it happen! Helpers are needed for all areas communications, acquisitions, decorations and more!! Our first committee meeting is coming up and we would love for your voice to be heard. Please plan to join us! Think about this! If your child is tardy just 5 minutes per day, they will have missed over 2 full school days in a year. Students that come to school regularly and on time keep up with daily assignments, take quizzes and tests on time, and have the opportunity to hear explanations completely. Good attendance also teaches the valuable life skills of responsibility, self-discipline and persistence. Research has shown that good attendance helps students have a better attitude toward school, leading to better behavior and more positive social relationships.

Remember, the 3 classes with the best on time percentage and the 3 classes with the best attendance percentage at the end of January will receive a reward from Mrs. Schumacher!

John Paul II Academy Carnival Planning for the 2nd Annual John Paul II Academy Family Carnival has begun and we need your help! We are looking for individuals to join the planning team - Mom & Dads, Grandparents, Siblings, Friends and more! Note: you do not need to attend the carnival to help plan. Help is needed in many areas - raffle baskets, food, ticket sales, donations, communications, etc. The carnival will be held on May 4th, 2018 but there is work to be done now!
