8th Grade Formal Pictures Monday, January 22nd, formal pictures will be taken of all 8th graders. A few things to know: 

Students should dress up, they can change into dress down or uniform clothes after the picture. This does not have to be their graduation outfit.



A group photo will be taken.



Minimal make up may be worn by girls



This is the picture that will be used in the yearbook



There is NO retake



Purchasing pictures is optional, there will be 4 poses. You do not have to send money right away. You will be given proofs about 2 weeks afterwards.



Even if you do not purchase, you need to return the paperwork choosing the pose for the yearbook. If not, the company will choose a pose for you.

Think about this! By sixth grade, chronic absence becomes a leading indicator that a student will drop out of high school. An estimated 5 to 7.5 million students in the United States miss almost a month of school every year. This adds up to over a year missed by the time of graduation. JPIIA continues to focus on having great attendance in the month of January. The 3 classes with the best attendance percentage and the 3 classes with the best on time percentage in the month of january will receive a reward from Mrs. Schumacher. 8th Graders St. Catherine's Admissions is hosting a Cosmic Bowling night for all current 8th graders at St. Rita, St. Lucy, St. Joe's, Our Lady of Grace and John Paul II. The event will take place at The Lanes on 20 from 4-6:30pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. There will be free rental of bowling shoes, bowling, pizza party and prizes. No cost to the student. Power Up Your Math Skills! You are invited to Family Math Night at JPIIA School on:

From 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 5:45 p.m.-6:45 p.m. in Haban Hall. Come and explore the wonders of math with your student and enjoy an exciting time of hands-on learning activities and games. *Light refreshments will be served and each family will receive their own bag of math games for home.

John Paul II Academy Carnival Planning for the 2nd Annual John Paul II Academy Family Carnival has begun and we need your help! We are looking for individuals to join the planning team - Mom & Dads, Grandparents, Siblings, Friends and more! Note: you do not need to attend the carnival to help plan. Help is needed in many areas - raffle baskets, food, ticket sales, donations, communications, etc. The carnival will be held on May 4th, 2018 but there is work to be done now!
