When we don’t see beyond the horizon, we just have to stop and listen. Los Peces de Cristina is the voice of a young girl who, after having sailed several seas playing in bands as well as solo, plugged as well as unplugged in cities like: Barcelona, Madrid, London, Berlin, Philadelphia and New York, ventured out this year to discover new sounds by recording and producing her first solo album which compiles everything that never came to light: “El tiempo que guardé”. An album with original music and lyrics in Spanish, Catalan and English; recorded, mixed and mastered at the Micromaltese studios in Barcelona by Marco Morgione (Antònia Font, El Guincho, Delorean, Za!) counting on the collaboration of musicians such as the guitarists: Oriol Saltor (La Puerta de los Sueños), Jesualdo Miravete, Fran Rubio and pianist Abel Garriga among others. It all resulted in a fresh and very natural sound that lies somewhere between pop and indie, perfect to get lost in evocative melodies floating on acoustic and electric guitars, an intimate sounding piano and some daring keyboards that moves and grooves. So, between turbulence and the calm of the sea, Cristina comes up fearless and decisively to be heard beyond the waves. With expectations with her first release, in just few hours, the debut album of Los Peces de Cristina EL TIEMPO QUE GUARDÉ reached the TOP #2 of Pop Albums in iTunes Spain and the #4 of the charts of all genres on the releasing day. Also, she has been candidate for Enderrock Awards in the category of Album Pop-Rock, and awarded as Best Debut Album in a national pop magazine MundoPop.

An album without frontiers Cristina always says that her universal languages is music and that any other language applies to break frontiers. And the proof is that for many years she has been performing on national and international stages, where her music has been valued beyond the language of each song. Besides starting to play at locals of London, Berlin and Barcelona, since she formalized her new project with a first single, she toured in acoustic in New York City, which encouraged her to record her first LP and keep on playing anywhere she can. In 2014 she had an intense summer touring around Holland and England. In Holland she visited cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and La Haya through ThissFest, the International Songwriters Festival in Holland and at Parkpop Festival, one of the largest outdoor festivals of Europe where every year they receive more than 200.000 people throughout the festival. In England she played in London, Ipswich and at the Looe Music Festival in Cornwall where she shared stage with Squeeze, Frank Turner and The Brand New Heavies. In 2015, she played at some of the most iconic places in Nashville such as the Bluebird Cafe, the famous cafe of the ABC TV Show, the Springwater Supperclub & Lounge or the legendary Tootsies Orchid Lounge, among others.

The first Music Video Bajo mi Piel: A tribute to our natural heritage The single chosen for the first video was Bajo mi piel, which now brings us a mystical and dreamlike story that emerges from the sea to take us to a place of dreams and a walk through the bowels of our Meditrranean coast.

The video was directed by Mark E. Murray (who has worked on clips from artists like U2, Rihanna, The Cranberries ... and in productions as prestigious as Game of Thrones, Vikings...), and edited by Gerard G. de Pando, in addition to count with the actor and model Daniel Gorvat (Kamikaze, La Riera – TV3-, Buscando el Norte – Antena3-, etc.) who appears with Cristina González, voice and composer of Los Peces de Cristina.

The place of the set is the beginning of everything: the inspiration spot of the project, of its name and of the many of its songs. For that reason it was elected to be the place of her first video. It is a tribute to our coast and to our natural heritage. Bajo mi piel is the first song of the album and the song which best defines the fresh and natural sound between pop and indie that little by little gets nude over all album.

The new music video

Los Peces de Cristina came back from performing in other countries in the past few months,from Europe to the US, to release now their new music video which is self titled as the album, which reached the Top#2 of pop albums charts in iTunes Spain on the releasing day. If the first video was set in a dreamlike and idyllic landscape, now we take you to an apocalyptic landscape where the story changes suddenly and causes your imagination to soar and invites us to think beyond what we see. With this video and the last concert for the end of the tour in the Festival FXE, they close a cycle to start with a new album. The music video got more than 10.000 plays on the first month and it was played every day for more than 5 weeks on the MTV Spain (Music Television), among other local and Spanish televisions.
