Salou, amb el RallyRACC!

Des de l’any 2005, amb la 41 edició del RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, Salou es ve convertint amb punt de trobada d'un dels grans esdeveniments del calendari automobilístic internacional, on els millors pilots del món competeixen per fer-se un lloc a la classificació del WRC. El nostre municipi, doncs, es troba ja plenament consolidat dins d’aquest circuït de ral·lis, l’únic a l’Estat espanyol, on el passeig de Jaume I de Salou (podi de sortida i d'arribada i punt que acull una important prova urbana), ja figura com una icona en el imaginari dels milers de seguidors i aficionats del mundial de Rally’s, per la seva espectacularitat, i perquè és el punt neuràlgic del campionat.

Amb 13 edicions consecutives Salou, i la Costa Daurada, veu reforçar la seva imatge, projecció i prestigi com important destinació turística capacitada per acollir les més importants proves mundials del motor amb una adequada infraestructura logística i d’allotjament. Només em resta expressar l’agraïment més sincer al RACC i a totes les institucions i empreses patrocinadores, alhora que donar la benvinguda més cordial als participants i els visitants que es concentraran a Salou durant aquests dies.

Des del año 2005, con la 41 edición RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, Salou se viene convirtiendo en un punto de encuentro de uno de los grandes eventos del calendario automovilístico internacional, dónde los mejores pilotos del mundo compiten para hacerse un lugar en la clasificación del WRC. Nuestro municipio se encuentra ya consolidado dentro de este circuito de rallys, el único en el Estado Español, donde el paseo de Jaime I de Salou (podio de salida y de llegada, y punto que acoge una importante prueba urbana), ya figura como un icono en la memoria de los miles de seguidores y aficionados del mundial de Rallys, por su espectacularidad, y porque es el punto neurálgico del campeonato. Con 13 ediciones consecutivas, Salou y Costa Dorada refuerzan su imagen, proyección y prestigio como importante destino turístico capacitado para acoger importantes pruebas mundiales de motor, con una adecuada infraestructura logística y de alojamiento. Sólo me queda expresar el agradecimiento más sincero al RACC y a todas las instituciones y empresas patrocinadoras, a la vez que dar la bienvenida más cordial a los participantes y a los visitantes que se concentrarán en Salou durante estos días.

Salou supports the RallyRACC!

Since 2005, with the 41st edition of the Catalonia-Costa Daurada RallyRACC, Salou has started to become a meeting point for one of the great events on the international automobile racing calendar, where the best drivers in the world compete to gain a spot in the WRC classification. Thus, our municipality is now fully established on this rally circuit—the only city in Spain—where Salou’s Passeig de Jaume I (starting line and podium and point that hosts an important urban race), is now an icon in the minds of thousands of followers and fans of the World Rally Competitions, due to their spectacular allure and due to being the hub for the championships. With 13 consecutive years behind it, Salou, and the Costa Daurada, want to strengthen their image, projection and prestige as a significant tourist destination equipped to welcome the most important world motoring races, with great logistics and accommodation infrastructures. I would like to finish by expressing my sincerest thanks to RACC and all the sponsoring institutions and companies and, in parallel, give a warm welcome to all participants and visitors who will come together in Salou for these days.

Com en les 13 edicions anteriors, Salou es complau d’acollir una nova edició de la gran cita estatal del motor: el Rally RACC Catalunya – COSTA DAURADA. Aquesta continuïtat a mantenir la seu d’aquest campionat demostra que Salou i el seu entorn de la Costa Daurada reuneixen les millors condicions i la millor preparació per acollir grans esdeveniments i competicions esportives de nivell internacional. Perquè aquesta destinació i aquests territori arriba a un nivell de treball i d’implicació (institucional i empresarial) necessari perquè campionats d’aquesta magnitud arribin a ser tot un èxit.

I la complicitat en esdeveniments d’aquests tipus són ben justificats perquè tenen un clar component socioeconòmic pel repte de desestacionalitzar la temporada turística, que permet noves oportunitats laborals així com la dinamització i revitalització dels sectors econòmics de la zona. De fet el Rally suposa un valor afegit a la nostra oferta i un potencial excepcional pel seu impacte, ja que també difon la imatge de Salou i la Costa Daurada al món, i consolida la nostra posició d’epicentre de proves del motor durant uns dies.

Como en las 13 ediciones anteriores, Salou se complace acoger una nueva edición de la gran cita estatal del motor: el Rally RACC Catalunya – COSTA DAURADA. Esta continuidad de mantener la sede de este campeonato demuestra que Salou y su entorno de la Costa Daurada reúnen las mejores condiciones y la mejor preparación de acoger grandes eventos y competiciones deportivas de nivel internacional. Porqué esta destinación y este territorio llegan a un nivel de trabajo e implicación (institucional y empresarial) necesarios para que campeonatos de esta magnitud lleguen a ser todo un éxito. Y la complicidad en eventos de este tipo están bien justificados porqué tienen un claro componente socioeconómico por el reto de desestacionalizar la temporada turística, que permite nuevas oportunidades laborales así como la dinamización y revitalización de los sectores económicos de la zona. De hecho el Rally supone un valor añadido a nuestra oferta y un potencial excepcional por su impacto, ya que también difunde la imagen de Salou y de la Costa Daurada al mundo, y consolida nuestra posición de epicentro de pruebas de motor durante unos días.

Salou and the Rally environment As in the previous 13 years, for all of us in Salou it is a pleasure to once again welcome a new edition of this great Spanish motor racing event: the Catalonia-COSTA DAURADA RACC Rally. This continuity in hosting this championship proves that Salou and its surroundings on the Costa Daurada have the best conditions and are best prepared to host large international sporting events and competitions. Because our destination and lands have attained the necessary level of work and involvement (both from institutions and businesses) so that championships of this size can enjoy guaranteed success. And complicity in events of this type are well justified because they have a clear socioeconomic component to achieve our challenge to reduce tourist seasonality, generating new work opportunities, as well as invigorating and revitalising the region’s economic sectors. Indeed, the Rally represents an added value for our offering and exceptional potential due to its impact, as it also publicises and disseminates the image of Salou and the Costa Daurada around the world, and consolidates our position as the epicentre of motoring races for several days.
