Last Sunday we celebrated our annual Ministry Faire along with a beautiful service illustrating the need and the fruit of our church ministries. It brings joy to our lives, peace and happiness. But what do we do with that salvation? Jesus taught that no one lights a lantern and then puts it under a table. Lanterns are made to produce light, the purpose of which is to light up a room or a path. Why would anyone go to the trouble of getting a lamp and then hide the light it produces? Our ministry faire showcased the various ministries that our church offers that every member can join. These ministries offer a way we can put our light on a pedestal that can light up the lives of everyone around us. Some may think; I can’t minister to others; I don’t have the skills or the talent. But everyone can do something, whether it be serving as an usher, singing in the choir, visiting convalescent homes or just helping in the café. The text above is from the miracle where Jesus fed thousands with only two fishes and five loaves of bread. The disciples thought it was impossible to feed so many with so little food. Jesus told them, “bring them here to me”. He blessed the bread and the fish and they fed well over 10,000 people and had twelve baskets of food left over. We may think we don’t have the skills or the talent to minister to others but if we simply bring what we have to Jesus, he can work miracles with them! Welcome to the House of God! Pastor Adam Lopez

same. There are so many bad influences in the world today. From the music they hear to the friends they hang around with. The more bible they learn, the more weapons they have to fight the devil's temptations.

This is how we teach them to walk the narrow path; by example. Teach them the importance of calling on the name of Jesus and how it's our help in times of trouble. Let them see us do it. We are the most important example for our children. Children do what we do and say How much do our children know about what we believe? what we say. Someone once said "Kids spell love T-I-M-E." Let’s show our children we love them. Let’s aside at least 10 minutes each night to pray with our children. This world can weigh them down. Prayer will give them the strength they need to run and not grow weary.

Varios miembros dieron testimonio de cómo Dios los bendijo a través de las personas y los ministerios de nuestra iglesia. Es maravilloso escuchar historias de la vida real de cómo Dios hizo una diferencia en la vida de las personas. Cómo una familia sin hogar y un hombre simplemente montando por la iglesia en su bicicleta son ahora pilares activos de la iglesia que sirve a Dios y ministrar a otros .

Experimentar la alegría de la salvación es lo más bello y precioso que cualquier persona podría experimentar . Nos libera de la soledad, la drogadicción y el alcoholismo, la depresión y la desesperación. Trae alegría a nuestra vida, la paz y la felicidad. Pero, ¿qué hacemos con esta salvación? Jesús enseñó que nadie enciende una lámpara para ponerla debajo de una mesa. Lámparas son hechos para producir la luz, cuyo objetivo es iluminar una habitación o un camino. ¿Por qué conseguirá uno una lámpara solamente para ocultar la luz que produce? Nuestro faire ministerio mostró los diversos ministerios que la iglesia ofrece y en que cada miembro puede participar. Estos ministerios ofrecen una manera que podemos poner nuestra luz en un pedestal capaz de iluminar la vida de todos que nos rodea. Algunos pueden pensar, yo no puedo servir a otros, yo no tengo las habilidades o el talento. Pero todo el mundo puede hacer algo, ya sea sirviendo como ujier, cantar en el coro, visitando casas de salud o simplemente ayudar en la cafetería . El texto anterior refiere a el milagro que Jesús alimentó a miles con sólo dos pescados y cinco panes. Los discípulos pensaron que era imposible alimentar a tantos con tan poca comida. Jesús les dijo, "tráigamelos acá." Él bendijo el pan y el pescado y se alimento más de 10.000 personas y tenía doce cestas de comida de sobra. Podemos pensar que no tenemos la capacidad o el talento para ministrar a otros, pero si solamente traíamos lo que tenemos a Jesús, Él puede hacer milagros con ellos! Bienvenido a la Casa de Dios! Paz de Cristo! Débora en Acción es un grupo de hermanas que aman la obra de Dios. Nuestro compromiso es servir a nuestra iglesia manteniendo la unidad y el amor en nuestras hermanas. Organizamos varias actividades durante el año que forman parte de nuestra servidumbre como mujeres de Dios. Estamos comprometidas con las almas y con nuestra iglesia, como Débora de la Biblia somos mujeres aguerridas y valientes, estamos en acción para el servicio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo y la comunidad! Les invitamos a todas nuestras hermanas a que participan con nosotros.

Las Dorcas Apostólicas patrocinan el “Proyecto de Flor Azul” que recauda fondos para apoyar nuestros programas de Misiones Extranjeros y Nacionales. Actualmente, tenemos 20 misionarios alrededor del mundo que son sostenidos por el trabajo diligente de los capítulos locales de las Dorcas a través de los Estados Unidos. Pueden visitar a: www.aadorcas.com. Este ano vamos a tener vuestro culto Distrital aquí en Union City el 26 de Octubre. Nuestra iglesia siempre da una buen ofrenda para apoyar a los misioneros. Ya comenzando en Marzo, tenemos tiempo para comenzar a guardar dinero para esta ofrenda. Que bendición podemos ser si cada uno de nosotros participamos para este gran propósito.
