1. BRANDING

JERSEYS PARA LOS MONOS In 2007 I started Jerseys para los Monos together with my girlfriend as a non-profit small publisher and distro specialised in limited editions of art book and zines. Since then we have been publishing and distributing many art zines coming from diferent places and also exhibiting our editions in different places such as La Casa Encendida in Madrid, or Manzara Perspectives Gallery in Istambul. In 2010 we published our first book and I developed the whole image of the publisher, including logos, catalogue, personal cards, postcards, branding manual, stationery, handbags, tshirts, blog, etcetera.

1. BRANDING

GOW Gourmet on wheels expanded its service from inside offices to Metro de Madrid. A face washing was needed and it included identity design, brand management, spatial image, communication elements and launch campaign in a healthy food trolley in Metro de Madrid. By using collage and illustration techniques mixing black and white retro photography with colourful food images I gave it a new total look. The whole new image of the brand looked friendly, healthy, fresh and dynamic.

2. PUBLICATIONS

THIS COULD HAVE BEEN THE PLACE... The firts book published by Jerseys para los Monos is called “This could have been the place...” Through it´s 100 full colour pages it features the works of swedish artist EKTA. I made the whole design and layout for the book, which has a small size(12x17cm) and includes an original print made, numbered and signed by the artist. It all comes inside a canvas bag printed and sewed by Jerseys para los Monos.

2. PUBLICATIONS

REMENDAR ES ANTISOCIAL Remendar es Antisocial is an illustration zine I have been publishing through Jerseys para los Monons since summer 2007. Each issue has a different format and is part of a limited edition usually made with very little resources and recycled materials. I have published six issues so far and I´m about to publish #7.

MONTAÑAS 7”

MONTAÑAS 10”

Back in 2008 my band Montañas put out a 7” on the spanish label Tres Pies. We recorded it in a rural house where we used to rehearse. I wanted the record layout to transmit that homemade and rural feeling so I decided to stamp drawings one by one on brown recycled cardboard 7” mailers, and number the 500 copies by hand as every mailer was differente from each other.

In 2009 we put out another record. This time it was a 10” with the spanish labels Gramaciones Grabofónicas and La Alegría de Vivir. For the design I used the same technique as for the 7”

LAS NURSES/Apples & Hatreds 7”

PINGÜINO/Volumen Cd

I was asked to design a 7” vinyl by spanish band Las Nurses called “Apples & Hatreds”. The music was very, powerful and angry so I decided to use strong images from important people. By using collage I gave them a new sense, as if they were loosing their importance and honour in this chaotic society we live in.

Spanish band Pingüino asked me to design their self-published cd “Volumen”. The songs were very fuzzy and distorted, and they gave me a sense of confussion and misunderstanding, so I made a pengüin who doesn´t really know where he stands and what he is , living quietly in his own peaceful igloo in the middle of nowhere.

4. POSTERS

POSTERS For the last 4 years I have designed posters for gigs with both spanish and foreign bands(Costacurta, Loma Prieta, Kidcrash, Montañas, Los Punsetes, Enoch Ardon, La Otra Gloria...) and cultural events as well as some personal posters.

T-SHIRTS & TOTE BAGS I have designed t-shirts and tote bags for various projects, music bands, collectives and clothing brands, such as Remendar es Antisocial, Montañas, Peludos, and Ewan.

ILLUSTRATION In the last few years I have made illustrations for exhibitions, book covers, personal exhibitions and projects, blogs, record labels and cultural events.

PAINTING, SCULPTURE AND EXHIBITIONS For some years I have been combining my work in graphic design with personal work more related to free artistic practices such as painting, doing sculpture, collage, mural painting and installations. So far my work has been exhibited on galleries, events and museums in Barcelona, Madrid, Istambul, Manchester, Oviedo, Valencia, Avilés, Gijón, and Alicante.
