Minimum Requirements include: • Doctor of Medicine degree with a major in Surgery • Permanent License to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico • 24 months of experience as a Kidney Transplant Surgeon • Current Certification by the American Board of Surgery • Completion of a Postgraduate Residency in general surgery accredited by Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) • Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certification, if applicable • Completion of a 2-year formal fellowship at a transplant program accredited by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS).
