Wildcat Summer Camp Dear Parents and Students, This summer, Griffin is offering a unique opportunity to serve our students in two significant ways that can help them to be successful. #1: Summer Camp for Retention Candidates: If you have been contacted and informed that your child is in danger of being retained, or going to be retained, your child MUST attend a minimum of one session of summer camp. Failure to do so will result in retention from moving on to the next grade. During these sessions, students will be remediated in the skills that they missed during the course of the regular school year. Remediation will be done electronically with teacher guidance and tutoring available if needed. #2: Summer Camp for Students Needing/Wanting Skill Reinforcement: If you would like to get extra help in reading and/or math skills, you are invited to attend summer camp, and we would LOVE to have you! We will also be planning some fun activities to do while you are here. Camps will be over the following dates. June 12-15 June 19-22 July 10-13 You may come to one or all of the camps if you choose. Failure to register will mean that we do not have a place reserved for your child. Therefore, registration is required. Each camp will run from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Snacks and Lunch will be provided. Buses will run from Fair Oaks, LaBelle, and Norton Park. You MUST indicate whether you are a car rider or a bus rider, and from which location you will be coming. Bus pick up from Fair Oaks will be at 7:20. Bus pick up from LaBelle will take place at 7:30. Bus pick up from Norton Park will be at 7:40. Those students who will be riding the bus will be returned to the school from which they originated between 12:15-12:30 timeframe.

Campamento de Verano Wildcat Queridos Padres y Estudiantes, Este verano, Griffin ofrece una oportunidad única para servir a nuestros estudiantes en dos formas significativas que pueden ayudarles a tener éxito. #1: Campamento de Verano para Candidatos que han sido Retenidos: Si han sido contactados informandoles que su estudiante esta en peligro de ser retenido, o va a ser retenido, su estudiante DEBE atender como mínimo a una sesión. El No hacerlo resultará en no pasar al siguiente grado. Durante estas sesiones, remediarán en los conocimiento que no tuvieron durante el transcurso del año escolar. La remediación será en forma electrónica con la guía de un maestro y tutoría en caso necesario. #2: Campamento de Verano si Necesitan/Gustan reafirmar sus conocimientos: Si gustan obtener ayuda extra en lectura o matemáticas, estan invitados al campamento de verano, y estaremos Encatados de tenerlos! También planearemos actividades divertidas en lo que estan aquí. Los Campamentos serán en las siguientes fechas: Junio 12-15 Junio 19-22 Julio 10-13 Pueden venir a uno o a todos los campamentos si lo desean. Deben registrarse de lo contrario no habrá un lugar reservado para su estudiante. Cada campamento será de 8:00am a 12:00pm. Se orecerá snacks y lunch.
